I look up to see that the boys couldn't follow one simple direction and are slightly flooding out of the tunnel doorway. All the girls keep screaming and running around.
"Hey! Settle down!" I try to yell over the screaming girls. I glance at Lilac and she's already looking at me. I turn to the leaders, "Once they are settled, get your workers to go to your job section, I'll be sending workers to you, understood?" I ask; they all nod and start to walk off.
I walk over to Ren, who's in front. Doing nothing, just looking around. We make eye contact and I know he realizes he's in trouble, I'm pretty sure I have furrowed eyebrows and tight lips. Once I get there, I cross my arms.
"What- "He tries to start but I hold up a hand.
"Don't. I gave you how many jobs? Ten? Fifteen? No, I gave you one, and you didn't do it." I roll my eyes. "You might want to cover your ears." I say as I stalk off to the right, about thirty-five feet, there's a button. I flip open the latch that covers it and press down on it. It's a big red button that you see in the movies that trigger the explosives. But instead a train horn blares through hidden speakers placed in every corner of The Center.
We had picked one up for instances like this, for when I can't get the girls under control. I hold the button down for about five seconds and release. "I said settle down." I growl out. "Follow your leaders, they have directions for what we are about to do next. Fighters, you'll follow Lilac for the time being." I put the latch back over the button and walk back to Ren.
He has a grin on his face. "Well I have to say Brexley- "He starts but I cut him off yet again with orders.
"Get your boys into their job groups, come find me when you've completed that task."I turn, cutting off our conversation and go to look for the tiny amount of Littles we have.

We've gotten everyone into their job groups: fighters in the training area, the constructors gather in their space that's on the other side of the train horn button, engineers huddle on the opposite side of the room where they have a tiny room dedicated to their studies, cooks in the kitchen, watchers stand in the corner next to the tunnel the boys occupy because that's their usual meeting spot, the medics gather in their space on the opposite side of the room next to the bedroom, the runners gather in their space on the other side of the constructors next to the other bedroom, and the scientists gather in their space that's next to the engineer's space and the training room.
I have the Littles sat at the tables and wait for further directions. There's minimal talking, just whispers from every group. I call over Alyssa, Catie, and Mia. Once they come over to the watcher's tunnel I turn to Ren.
"I need your leaders for constructors, cooks, and scientists." He nods and calls out three names.
"Matt, Isaac, Nate. Up front." Three boys come forward and stand side by side next to Ren. A boy with black hair, one with brown hair, and one with blonde.
"Constructor?" I ask as I look at all of them, one steps forward. The one with black hair steps forward. "Name?"
"Matt." He answers. He has brown eyes and a mix between fair and tan skin.
"You're going to be partners with Alyssa," Alyssa steps forward. "Alyssa will be incharge of the girls in your group and you will be in charge of the boys in your group." He nods they step back behind me, where Alyssa was standing.
"Cook?" I ask and the one with brown hair steps forward. "Name?"
"Isaac." I nod, he has brown hair as well a mix between pale and fair skin.
