The walls were a shade of white, but it was tinted with some color that (Y/n) couldn't perceive properly. Eggshell white, perhaps. Pinstripes of slate gray shot down from the edges of the bordered ceiling, meeting the rug of deep rouge. The bed was the same eggshell white as the wallpaper.

After analyzing the color scheme, (Y/n)'s attention swiveled towards their predicament. Their head was pounding like two trucks gearing together in a massive crash. It was almost like a drill piercing their entire consciousness. They gritted their teeth and struggled out of bed, then paused again as the silken bedsheets pooled around their knees.

"I...can't remember anything," (Y/n) croaked, to test their voice. It came out more as a low raspy whine, a result of an extremely dry throat. There was a glass of iced water on the stand next to them, but (Y/n) didn't know if it was laced with anything. "Why am I here?"

"Because you're dangerous," a voice emitted from the doorway. (Y/n) quickly craned their neck to see Fyodor prowl in, smile plastered onto his face. "Do not worry. If you despise my face, you will be spared of seeing it for quite some time now."

"Really?" (Y/n) mumbled, training their eyes on his equally vibrant magenta hues. "You speak with a silver tongue."

"I thought I said Dazai Osamu had one."

"More than one snake or rat can exist at once, Dostoyevsky," (Y/n) spat. "You...I know what you're planning. You're...you..."

"Do you?" His voice was full of mirth, his mouth curled in an almost toothed smile. "I thought I had all my bases covered."

"You bastard," (Y/n) growled, "you stole part of my memories."

"Just the outside ones. You claim to be part of an outside world different from this one, so I had been observing your actions. I must say, you act without faltering during times. It's cute that you had discussed your predicament with Nakahara Chuuya before me. I'm quite sad you didn't confide in me first."

(Y/n) smiled weakly, yanking their sleeves up to their cuffs. "Thanks for the rest. I think I shall take my leave soon."

"But so soon? Right after I took all the means to get to you? How regretful..." The man paced towards (Y/n), and they flinched. Fyodor leaned toward the individual and let out a smooth chuckle, honeyed wine. "Don't worry. You can retrieve your memories with some negotiation."

"If you've seen them, then there's no point," (Y/n) scornfully said. "ADA and Port Mafia probably lost, then. The virus is going to get them."

"Perhaps," Fyodor said. "All I need you to do is one simple request. I'm sure you can fulfill it, right? I think you've meddled enough with this universe. Even the greatest will fall with some disruption."

"..." They sighed. "Tell me what you want."

-

"Boss has a curse on him," Chuuya snarled, jabbing a gloved finger at Mori's chest. Above the Port Mafia's leader's chest pulsed an intricate circle. "And we cannot get Dazai to cure this, because bandage bastard is in the hospital and we would need the original ability user to negate this."

"So what do you say, then?" Kouyou asked. She tilted her head to stare at the male across from her, then shifted her eyes towards Akutagawa. The dual haired male was entirely silent.

Chuuya paused. "With (L/n) reportedly missing at the site, I think..."

"(L/n)?" Akutagawa pressed in his rasp.

"Never mind. I think we all know the answer to this," Chuuya's eyes glinted. "We go and kill their president."

-

"They're going for a search and destroy," Ranpo said, clutching a book to his chest. "I'm glad we escaped that building. I'm also sad that Kunikida isn't with us."

"Sometimes the strongest hold a big weakness," Yosano murmured, clasping a knife. Tanizaki shook his head in some skewed form of disagreement.

"No, our enemy knows exactly how to break him." With that said, he gestured at the glass building where Mori was supposedly at. "Are we ready for this?"

"Come at me, dumbasses!" A loud war cry arose from the throng of Port Mafia henchmen littering around the perimeter of the building. Chuuya gave a huge glare at the small group, cracking his knuckles.

"I got this," Ranpo cheerily said as he stashed the book into his cloak. "Like some people, I can push a few buttons to piss them off completely. Poe's book should be enough to keep him totally out of the scene. Three hundred murder mysteries."

The rest of the group dashed on ahead.

-

"Dazai-San," (Y/n) said from the hospital doorway.

"Lovely to see your beautiful countenance, (L/n)!" Dazai chirped, eyeing the visitor. "You even brought a melon. What brings you here in the midst of the quarrel?"

"I have a proposition for you, bandaged one," they replied.
