Never Give Up

"No, you can't do this to me, Eunji," Taekwoon's eyes were widened in shock as he looked at the girl in front of him. He was confused. Jung Eunji came to his modeling agency at that night, where she usually fetches him with smile plastered on her face.

But tonight, she greets him with a statement, "Our arrange marriage, let's called it off".

"You must be kidding me," he smirked while looking at the dark night sky from the window glass. He even not yet takes off his suit after the last photo shoot when he got Eunji on his office.

"I'm serious. I think I can't bear with this fake relationship longer," Eunji sternly said.

"B-but why? Didn't you say that you will learn to love me? And for God's sake, our marriage will be held in just 2 months. You can't do this—"

"I know I was trying so hard. But, I'm really sorry, Taekwoon oppa. I can't..." Eunji cut his words.

"Eunji, what happened with you? Why you are suddenly changed like this? You have changed since the day you went to Japan to catch up Jeon Jungkook. Let me talk to him now," Taekwoon was about to get up from his seat, but Eunji quickly hold his wrist.

"It wasn't him. But, it's my own decision," she said.

"But Eunji, why? You acted like a sweet girlfriend to me..." Taekwoon frowned.

"It was," she corrected his words. "I thought I can start to love you as we spent our time together during this whole month. I've admitted that I feel comfortable whenever I'm with you. But lately I realized that it wasn't love... I think I cannot love you more than just a friend."

"But we're just started to know each other. We still have time to develop our relationship deeper. I don't want to rush you," Taekwoon tried to convince her. He grabbed her hand while showing his pleading eyes.

"I am sorry, Oppa. But I think I really can't. I can't be a good wife for you," Eunji shook her head lightly; making her bang hung gently covering her forehead.

Taekwoon froze.

"It's been a month we are together, right? I feel so grateful to have a chance to know you better. I'll cherish the time that I'd shared with you. I'll cherish every single things that we've done together," Eunji formed a thin smile on her face, while placing her free hand on top of Taekwoon's hand. "You're an amazing man, Oppa. You deserved someone better than me."

Taekwoon tried to hold back his tears. He already fell in love with her, but to finally found out that it was an unrequited one.

"Goodbye, Taekwoon Oppa," Eunji finally said as she got up from the seat.

Taekwoon quickly stood up then took a little step to back hugging her. It makes Eunji automatically stop her own pace.

"Don't do this to me, Eunji. Please..." Taekwoon closed his eyes rested his chin on top of her head. "Don't leave me like this..."

"Taekwoon oppa, I'm really sorry..." Eunji swallowed hard. "I'm sure you can find a better person soon. Trust me."

"But, can you give me one more chance, Eunji? Just one more chance..."

Eunji shook her head. "I am so sorry, Oppa. I don't love you like you do... It's unfair for us. I won't hurt you more than this..."

A pang hit Taekwoon's heart. He was mad because Eunji suddenly wanted to cancel their marriage just 2 months before its hold. But he was hurt at the same time because she told him that she never loved him like the way he does. The things were happened too sudden till Taekwoon didn't know how to react. He slowly released his arms from her waists.
