The duet

Kurama Pov:

I wake up to the sound of my stupid alarm. 'God, why do humans wake up this early?' I blink my eyes a couple of times before attempting to lift myself out of bed. I sit on my bed debating in my mind if I really want to got school. I sigh in frustration and decide I should, It would look bad if a famous person doesn't go to school.

I walk towards my kitchen and just stare at it. 'Can I really be bothered making breakfast? Nah I'll just one of the fan girls to lend me some food or something.'   I walk out of my house and see my driver waiting for me. "Your running a bit late Sir, are you sure you want to go to school today?" I just smile a little. "Yeah, but it will be alright, it's not like they can expel me for being a couple minutes late once." The driver nods and hops in the car and starts taking me to school.

I rest my head on my hand while I look outside of the car window. I hear a irritating noise coming from the drivers seat, he's radio is on static. I cringe at the awful sound. "If your going to have the radio on at least have it on something decent." The driver changes the channel, than I hear a news reporter talking about a new female singer who Is going to the same school as me.

"Who was that girl they were talking about?" I ask with a raised eyebrow. The driver looks at me and answers slowly. "That's a new up coming singer that's been reaching very high on number 2 on the music charts, of course your number 1, but she is your age and she just transformed to your new school."  I put my hand to my chin thinking. 'A new singer huh? That could ether be very bad or very good for me, but  this human girl isn't my age, while my kind live extremely long lives,  I'm actually 29 human years old. But in my kind I would classify as a 17 year old.'

"What's her name? "I ask curious to find out who this person is. The driver looks like his thinking and answers me. "Her name is Daphne, Yes I'm sure that it, Daphne Rose."  'Daphne Rose, I wonder what type of person are you.' I was about to ask another question until  the radio girl came back on. "Hello again and now here with me live is the lovely Daphne Rose." 'Looks like she's pretty famous is she gets to be live on the radio. "Tell us Daphne why did you move schools?  Is it because your number 1 rival is there? or is it for another reason?"

'Number 1 rival? I haven't even met the girl.' "Um-I. Well, the real reason why I chose to move schools was for 3 reasons."   "And what would those reasons be Daphne?"  "Well 1, I wanted to meet Kurama, I don't see him as a rival, he's actually my hero because I saw him live once, and he was incredible, and my dream was to be a singer so I really wanted to meet him."  'She doesn't sound like a fan girl, maybe she's one of those fans that actually don't annoy me.'

"And my second reason is because my family live closer to this school so I thought it would be easier to go here, and my third is, well-its, its actually not a happy reason. I was bullied a lot in my old school, they said some pretty nasty stuff about me, even when I was famous."  'So the main reason she moved was because of bullies?  Alright than, when she goes to school I want give her a hard time like I did to Nanami.'    "Well, I'm sorry to hear that Daphne, that would explain why most of your songs are about fighting back though." 'She writes her own songs.'

"Yeah I guess." "Tell me Daphne before you go to school I just have 1 question. What would your dream be?"  "My dream? Well I guess my dream would be writing and singing a song with Kurama, who's song's got me threw my tough times." The driver turns the radio of and parks at the school while I'm deep in thought.  'I really want to meet this girl, because she sounds like the only fan I have that isn't crazy in love with me.' I open my car door and start walking towards my locker. As I get there I see a girl run in with long dark blue hair. she runs to the locker next to mine.

She stares at me than says hello politely, 'Wait a sec, I recognise her voice she's Daphne Rose.' I take in her appearance, she has green eyes, pale skin, a bit taller than Nanami and she her hair in a pony tail, it's pretty cute.'     "Hey, I'm Kurama." I say while putting my hand out. She shakes it and smiles sweetly. "It's to meet you Kurama my name is Daphne Rose, but you can call Daphne."
