Within The Twilight The Princess Hides

Merry sat in her mother's lap as Lunette brushed her hair, it had been 9 years since the final men of the Greatest War were killed. Her eyes a glow as she saw what was to come; Merry's 10th birthday was in two days and many people from everywhere would be there to celebrate the special day. A princess named Tea walked up to her mother and threw wine in her face, which made her light makeup ruin and run. Yet the queen walked away and whipped her face off and her dress had been spared, thankfully.

Merry spotted her father getting flirty and lustful looks from the princesses until she tugged on his cape gently. He picked up Merry for the older girls to see and they didn't look happy their looks got darker as her mama joined to stand beside her daddy. Mana came over as said it was almost dinner time which include a big cake for Merry to wish on. The princess took her time to weave through the crowd with her "Uncle" Seto so she wouldn't hit anyone on her way to the table.

Merry already had her wish in mind and blew out the candles making everyone clap and gifts were giving by the Egyptian People frist. Many wreaths, pieces of jewelry, even an Egyptian Mau for a pet given by her uncle. She named the cat the Ara after her grandmother which pleased her mother at the nice and delightful thought. The best gift she got was a crown from her parents, so she would stop wearing her mother's when she didn't have on. Princess Tea glared at the child with hate and anger which Merry spotted her and waved making the Romanian Princess stomp away in an unspoken rage.

Merry rubbed her eyes as the vision ended and her mama looked at her with worry. She breathed in to calm down and explained everything she had seen about her birthday and her father just walked in when Merry finished speaking.

"You have nothing to fear Merry," Lunette reassured her daughter. "You have your father, Uncle Seto, and myself to protect you."

"Your mother is right, Merry." Atem said placing a hand on her shoulder. "You are safe no matter what is to come."

"Thanks daddy." Merry said standing and hugging his arm. "Can I go play with Nazwa outside in the garden?"

Her parents laughed at the puppy eyes she was pulling and nodded before she jumped up and ran out the door.

"She is one bundle of energy that had sugar for power." Lunette said shaking head than turned to her husband as she sat down on the bed.

"She sure is my love." Atem wrapped arm around her waist. "But she's like you when angry, she unforgiving and harsh."

Atem had been going to meetings for a month to get the ball ready. Mostly how the throne room would be set up and who would/wouldn't be invited. Atem was the only one being in the meetings and only asking Lunette and Merry what their thoughts was afterwards when he saw them. Merry started having headaches from her foretelling sight, it happened most of the time in letting her parents took her to Isis.

Merry was ordered by Isis to take it easy and not go to meetings anymore. Only to be on bed rest and stuff that wasn't to physical or stressful. Until her headaches stopped, no meetings or anything adult-wise what-so-ever. Of course Merry always has someone that is always with her, Nazwa mostly or Mana. Her parents are with her all the time when they were done with meetings. Mostly Merry slept, that was because she was either tired or she just wanted to catch up on her sleep.

Atem excited the throne room after the morning meetings were over. He sighed in relief as everything was now done for the ball. Everyone was going to get everything ready, starting this afternoon. The guests would start arriving tomorrow and the birthday ball was taking place the day after tomorrow. Everything was turning out great.

Atem started to walk down the hall towards his daughter's room. He slowly opened the door and looked around for Merry. Atem smiled when he spotted her in Lunette's arms asleep in bed, peacefully. Nazwa was in on the foot of the bed sleep as well.

'She has the right idea.' Atem thought, wanting some sleep himself.

Atem took his jewelry off and quietly got in bed next to Lunette and Merry. Nazwa woke up and watched Atem, but put her head back down and went back to sleep. Atem wrapped his arms around his wife's waist and brought him close so that Lunette's back was against his chest. Lunette was still silently asleep with Merry in her arms. Atem kissed their foreheads and settled his head down on the pillow.

Atem stayed awake a little, just thinking about the birthday ball. He just pushed it away as best he could. Soon he was sound asleep with his precious family in his arms.

Merry opened her eyes a little later that night at midnight. She yawned and felt two sets of arms arms around her. She looked over her shoulder and smiled when she saw was Atem asleep next to her mommy. Her mommy wouldn't admit this to anyone but Merry, but Atem looked so adorable when he was asleep.

Merry managed to get her parents' arms off him and climb to the end of the bed. She looked back at her daddy as he reached out to pull her mommy closer to him and he continued to sleep. Merry giggled at Atem's actions.

Merry managed to get up out of bed and head to the balcony where she already had a chair and sat down in it. Nazwa looked up as sat Merry sitting on the balcony and spotted her older masters sleep still. She got up, went next to Merry and snuggled close to her. Merry hugged Nazwa as her thoughts kept going in circles about her vision, she need a second opinion and she had to ask Heba or Mana for theirs.
