Within The Twilight The Princess Hides

It was sun down and Merry was sitting in her room on the floor playing with some dolls her mother made during her pregnancy. The little princess had Mana and Nazwa watching her, Nazwa stayed at Merry's side as a protector. Since the lion cub couldn't follow her other masters around the palace she chose to keep the youngest safe. Merry threw the doll that was of her mother away and cried out in hunger.

Mana noticed heading to get Lunette and Nazwa rubbed against the little one lovingly. Merry's crying slowed and she patted the cub's head. Lunette picked up her daughter giving her a bottle of milk and rocking her to sleep. Nazwa laid at the foot of the crib to keep watch over her little mistress, and Lunette gave the cub a ball of yarn to play with.

It was now night time. Everyone was now getting ready for bed. Lunete watched Merry in her crib as she slept the night away. Atem sat on the bed and had watched Lunette walk around the room and tuck their daughter into bed.

Lunette smiled down at her. Atem got up from the bed and walked over to his wife, wrapping his arms around her waist. Atem looked down at Merry sleeping and smiled at her. He leaned down and kissed the side of Lunette's neck.

"She is so cute when she's asleep." Atem whispered.

"So are you." Lunette told him, making Atem blushed slightly.

"Don't tell anyone that." Atem begged, Lunette turned around in Atem's arms.

"Don't worry, I won't." She told him as she chuckled.

Atem smiled and kissed Lunette.

"Let's go to bed." Atem suggested.

"Agreed. I'm tired." Lunette agreed.

The two walked back to the bed and they cuddled up next to each other. Soon, they were fast asleep.

In the middle of the night two figure were on the palace walls.

"So, how did you find out Lunette had the baby?" The one figure asked, sitting on the wall.

"I sent one of the spies to watch the ball and he heard Lunette went into labor and had the baby." The other figure, that was standing up, said.

"Then why are we here, Maru." The figure wondered, standing up.

"We are going to capture the baby so that the Pharaoh will do what we want. Have a batter idea, Suma?" Maru wondered.

"Why don't we just kill it?" Suma asked.

"We will do that at the very end, no matter what." Maru answered him.

"Sounds good." Suma said smirking.

The two jumped onto some pillars and found a way into the palace through a window in the hall. They made their way through the halls, avoiding guards along the way. Then they finally reached their destination, the Pharaoh's room.

The two smirked at each other and slowly opened the door as they snuck inside. They slowly closed the door behind them, looking around the room.

Lunette and Atem were sound asleep in the bed. They saw the baby asleep in the bassinet and the snuck over to it. Unknown to the two, was the sleeping cub under the baby's bassinet on the floor.

Nazwa was woken up at the sound of footsteps by her. She opened her eyes and put her  ears up. She spotted two unknown men near Merry's bassinet.

Maru and Suma looked down at the sleeping baby.

"Aw isn't it cute, Maru?" Suma asked in a low whisper.

"Sure. Just grab her and lets go." Maru ordered, also in a low whisper.

Nazwa heard the two talking and didn't like what they were saying. She knew her duties as a royal pet vary well for her masters. Nazwa knew that these guys are here to hurt the little mistress and she wasn't going to allow them to do that. She protected her family. Nawza got up and started to growl deeply at the two men.

Mura and Suma heard a growl behind them. They turned around to see Nazwa growling at them. Nazwa growled louder and beard her teeth at them.

Suma didn't like the look of the dog, but Maru wasn't fazed at all by her.

Nazwa's growl woke up Atem. He blinked his eyes open and looked to where he heard the cub growling. He saw Suma and Maru by Merry's bassinet and their gazed on Dawn.

Suma didn't like the lion cub anymore, he ran for the door. This caused caused Nazwa to yowl, but she didn't go after Suma, she jumped to Maru and bit down on his arm. He screamed in pain.

All of this caused Lunette to shoot up in bed. Then Merry started to cry from all the noise.

As Nazwa was attacking Maru, Atem jumped out of bed and ran to Suma, who had opened the door. Atem tackled Suma to the ground in the hallway.

A guard walking down the hall saw the Pharaoh tackle a man to the ground. He ran to aid his Pharaoh.

"Get more guards quickly. There is more then just this one." Atem ordered.

"Yes Pharaoh." The guard nodded and ran off to get help.

Lunette watched as Bakura tried to get Nazwa off his now bleeding arm. She got up from the bed, ran around Maru and got Merry out of her bassinet. Lunette saw Atem on top of Suma, who was struggling underneath him. Lunette went to the other side of the room by the balcony with Merry still crying in her arms. She tried to calm her baby as much as she could.

Soon about 10 the guards came running into the room. They took Suma from Atem, then managed to get Nazwa off of Maru's arm. The last two men of the Theif King's army were finally captured.
