brandon had no real intentions with zion. he was just another mutual friend, for now. maybe in the future he might want to get to know him but obviously after football season. brandon couldn't risk getting caught talking to the rivals during the season or else he might get benched. but maybe he could just dm him. no one would find out, right?

brandon exited his dms with scarlet and opened his previous ones with zion. he didn't want to seem weird and just text "hey" out of the blue, he wanted it to seem casual. he thought for a bit about what to say and then it came to him once he looked outside.

the storm was loud. loud enough to make zion feel like an idiot once he realized that he never noticed the noise. the rain didn't seem like it was stopping anytime soon. that meant that his thursday night would be free which also means that he could throw a party, and meet brandon. he didn't know why he wanted to meet him so bad but throwing a party gave him a reason too.
