You started to slowly stir awake. You peeled open your bleary e/c eyes and yawned. You were suddenly aware of a burning sensation in you chest and started to cough which made it even more painful. It felt as though your lungs had been set on fire but the rest of your body remained cool, freezing even. You could feel the hair on the back of your neck standing up.
"I see your awake, Lady Y/N." You snapped your head around to see Gandalf perched on a wooden stool opposite you.
"G-Gandalf!" You grinned, pushing back the pain in your chest.
"Good to see you. The Hobbits told me that you saved Frodo at your own expense of hitting your head and almost drowning." Gandalf stated with a twinkle in his eye. "You are braver than I deemed you to be." Gandalf praised. 'I hit my head?'
"Um thanks G-Ah!" You felt three little bodies pounce on you.
"Y/N your awake! I thought you died!"
"It's great to see you!" Merry, Sam and Pippin laughed. You couldn't help but grin, although you noticed Frodo was missing.
"I missed you guys, but where is Frodo?" You asked whilst shoving the Hobbits over making them laugh even more.
"He is not awake yet. He got stabbed by one of those creepy cloak things but I guess you already know that." Pippin said. Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
After Gandalf and the Halflings filled you in on how Strider (Aragorn) carried you most of the way to Rivendale and how he got you some dry clothes to wear (which made you blush a lot but they reassured you the female maids were the ones that dressed you.) The four of them left to let you finish your breakfast and get dressed into more suitable clothing. You took one more mouthful of delicious fluffy bread with what you supposed was the equivalent of Middle Earth Nutella.
Wow, Nutella should start to take some notes. You placed your breakfast tray on the well polished bedside table. You closed your eyes and smiled. How did this happen? How am I in Middle Earth? I kinda miss memes though... You were pulled out of your thoughts when a cool breeze flew through the open Windows.
"Time to get dressed." You muttered to yourself, flinging the white silk sheets to the side, you stood up onto the wooden flooring. The room was a medium size, the windows were large and rounded at the top, the walls were white with wooden vines snaking over them. You could hear the birds chirping outside in the sunlight. 'This is going to be fun!' You spotted your old clothes folded neatly on a dresser next to the full length mirror. You wasted no time pulling off the baggy oversized Aragorn clothes and shoved on your dark jeans, combats and black tank top. You walked over to the jewel incrusted mirror to see if you looked presentable.
"Eh, good enough." You muttered and combed through your hair a couple of times. You looked back at the dresser and picked up your hoodie. Before You could pull the item of clothes over your head, you couldn't help but stare at the scars on the inside of your wrists. 'I wonder if they have a special creme or something to get rid of scars here.' You thought as you roughly shoved in your hoodie. I may as well have a look around this place whilst I'm here.
You had been wandering around Rivendale for a few hours, the sun was out, the smell of clean woodland air filled your nose and Frodo was awake. To the delight of the three other Little Folk, the ring barer had woken up a few hours prior (just in time for lunch.) You had been sitting on a rock over looking the a small pond, admiring the neon fish that wriggled around under the glistening water. It was all peaceful until 'Sploosh!'
You found yourself being splashed by water as two Hobbits splashed around in the body of aqua.
"Merry! Pippin!" You said as you dragged the icy Hobbits to the grassy bank and playfully flicked the sodden Halfilngs curly heads.
"S-Sorry-" Merry started but was cut off. You felt a tap on your shoulder. Who is that?' You spun around to be greeted by a tall man dressed in dark clothing with shoulder length brown hair and slight stubble. Aragorn. 'Omg! Aragorn! I love him, but not like that...Mabye I do? No. I like Legolas.' Your thoughts whizzed through your mind as he stared at you.
"I'm Aragorn, it's nice to be meet you when you are awake lady Y/N," The Ranger grabbed your hand and kissed your knuckles. You could feel the blood rushing to your face as you stared at the man.
"H-Hi, Nice to meet you Aragorn." You said nervously.
"Gandalf has told me a great deal about you." He told you as he helped the two hobbits stand up.
"I'm sure he has, and I have to say thanks for carrying me to Rivendale." You thanked him. Before he could reply, Gandalf had wandered over with Frodo at his side.
"The meeting is about to start."
You were walking between Gandalf and Frodo, frantically searching the crowd for a certain blond elf. 'Where is my Lego Boy?' You thought as your eyes danced over the crowd of elf's, dwarfs and men. You were so nervous. The adventure was about to begin but in all honesty you were extremely nervous. You were torn out of your thoughts when you heard horse hooves, turning around you saw the one and only Legolas swinging himself off his horse in one fluid movement, causing his already perfect blond hair to glisten in the sun rays. 'Holy smokes, he is even more perfect in person. Just act normal Y/N.' You watched as he approached you, Aragorn, Frodo and Gandalf. Your heart started thumping faster than you thought was humanly possible.
"Aragorn!" Legolas exclaimed as he appeared and grabbed the ranger into a tight embrace causing his white teeth to show in a grin. Oh my god that smile is perfect. Just don't make a fool of yourself. As Legolas pulled away, he looked at you and his smile seemed to grow wider.
"Hello, I'm Legolas." He stared at you for a moment which made your heart stop.
"H-hi I'm Legolas and I know your name is Y/N....Wait, no, I'm Y/N and I know your Legolas."
Way to go Y/N.
