"Eden got so pissy at the fact that I have no interest in getting Michelle and Alex arrested. But why does that make me a bad person? Yes what they did was fucked up, but I will never deny the fact that they raised me and gave me a good life!" I vent to Nathan, whose lap I am currently laying on as we sit in Crescent Park where we had our first date. "OK, you're looking at me like you have sort of protest so get on with it."
He laughs and runs a hand through my hair. "I was just going to say, maybe look at it a little differently. How would you feel if they had kidnapped Eden instead and you and you went 17 years think your twin sister was dead?"
"I never said I didn't understand why she was pissed. I just don't understand why having me back isn't good enough for them?" I argue.
"Maybe they're scared that with Michelle and Alex still running around, they could lose you again." He suggests.
I sigh, think about it. "Well when you put it like that..." He smirks. "Fuck you." I cuss him off and shove him. He leans down and kisses me which I happily return, when suddenly I hear a car horn and we pull apart and I see Veronica. "Seriously?" I look back at Nathan. "I'll see you later."
"Bye." He comments and kiss me briefly one last time before I climb into Veronica's car.
She looks at him. "So that's Nathan."
"No that's Luke, he's my Wednesday guy. Nathan is my Saturday guy." I respond and she glares at me. "Chill I'm kidding, yes that's Nathan and he's the only guy I'm seeing."
"Does he go to your school?" She asks as she starts driving.
I shake my head. "No, Veronica, he's 19." Her head snaps in my direction. "I've been with guys older than 19 just so you're aware."
"You know that's illegal right!" She exclaims.
"I said I've been with guys older than 19, I never said I've slept with guys over 19. But hey, at least I didn't have to break the news to you that I'm not a virgin." I comment and I can see the horror on her face. I roll my eyes and we pull up at the house and I jump out and head inside.
Eden looks at me and smiles, we made up this morning on the way to school, but I still needed to vent to Nathan. Eden's face turns to confusion when she sees Veronica. "Mum you OK?" She asks. When Veronica briefly replies with that she's fine, she walks away and Eden looks at me. "What did you do to her?"
"I may have told her, I've dated guys over 19 and that I'm not a virgin all in the span of 2 minutes" I answer and she nods. There's a knock at the door and Michael answers it and I hear a family voice.
"Come in. Dakota, someone's here to see you!" Michael calls, but I'm already running past him and into their arms.
"I can't believe you're here!" I exclaim pulling away. "You weren't meant to be coming till December!"
