Y/N POV
"How long will it take before you understand what I'm saying?! It's been a year! Y/N, I understand your pain but you have to move on!" He stepped closer to me and his steps echoed like thunder. Only making my headache worse. He pinned me to the wall and let out a sigh of frustration. "You can't keep living in a world you think'll hurt you. What happened happened and nothing will ever change that." He let go of me and went for the doorknob. "Please don't leave me... I won't be able to make it if you leave too." I said just above a whisper.
He turned to me and I finally saw a glimpse of the man I fell in love with. As my feet carried me towards him my heart started pounding harder. He looked away and smiled. "Bye Y/N." He twisted the handle and left. My heart shattered as I listened to the sounds of his steps. My knees felt weak and my head hurt. I let my legs fall together and started sobbing on the ground. I brought my knees up to my chest and squeezed. "I thought he loved me."

My eyes fluttered open as the sunlight of the morning hit my face. It was my birthday and was supposed to be our 4th anniversary. I let out a sigh and got up. My phone buzzed and I quickly picked it up. "Hey it's Y/N." The voice on the other end sent me into a state of shock and left me speechless. "Hey it's Sal... sal Fisher. I'm back in town so if you wanna grab a coffee or something then meet me at the park. At 12:30." I ended the call and stared blankly at my phone.
My mouth opened like I was about to speak but no sound came out. The sunlight sent a warmth to my legs and I shivered softly. "I should probably get going then." I sighed and picked an outfit. A white long sleeved shirt and a black skirt. I pulled up my thigh socks and smiled to myself. Irresistible. I grabbed my purse, my wallet, my phone and my keys and walked out. The fresh air felt like nice against my legs as I walked down the familiar streets of my home. I couldn't believe that he was back. Last time I spoke to him he left me. I turned a corner and looked at my phone 12:27. I looked ahead and saw the park. I stared at the trees and smiled. They looked so nice in the spring. A familiar color caught my eye and I felt my heart flutter. "Sal?" The male turned around and looked down at me.

Sal POV
God she changed. Her beauty, her style, her hair, everything. God I missed her. I extended my hand and shook hers. They were so soft. "Hey Y/N. It's been a while and I honestly didn't think you'd come." She gave me a warm smile and the memories came flooding in. "I wanted to see you. You changed a lot Sal." She stepped closer and stood on her tip-toes. "You've grown taller." She took a hold of my hand and I stopped functioning. "Let's go." She started walking and pulling me along.
We went to this cutesy cafe. She ordered the exact same drink she always did. I watched the way her fingers wrapped around the cup as she enjoyed the warmth. I stared down into my coffee and sighed. I had to tell her now.

"Y/N, I should probably tell you why I'm here." She looked at me in utter confusion. "I regret what I did. When I left you I felt like my world had fallen apart. I'm sorry for telling you to forget about Larry's death. Larry was your brother and I didn't consider the fact that it might've hurt you more. I understand if you don't want me back but if you ever want to try again... I'm here." I felt my cheeks and ears turn a dark pink as all she did was look down at her drink with a smile. Her mouth opened and closed as she struggled with the words. "You hurt me. You truly hurt me and I hate you for that. But I can't seem to forget my feeling for you. So I'm going to give you one last chance." She held up her index finger and sighed with a smile. "Stay at my place."
She grabbed my hand and rubbed my knuckles softly. "I'll make dinner." A smile spread across my cheeks as I stood up. I went over to her side of the table and pulled her up. My arms wrapped around her tiny body and squeezed lightly. "I love you."
