Dean's P.O.V

I watch y/n sitting in the living room, and I smile. She's watching a sitcom show and has a blanket to fiddle with. I just watch her, but my moment is ruined by the clearing of a throat. I turn around, annoyed.

"Oh hey Sam." I say, then turn back to y/n. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Sam rolls his eyes.

"Dean, haven't you noticed anything about her?" he asks and I shrug.

"I dunno Sammy, but I kinda like her. She's hot, she's nice and she has that sweet little innocence about the world." I say, and smile again.

"Not that Dean, it's just.. she seems really... familiar. Like we know her. I just can't remember where from." he says, and I look back at y/n sitting on the sofa. I look at her carefully, but have no recollection of her.

"I don't know, I don't remember anything about her. Maybe we met in a different universe!" I joke and chuckle to myself before walking off. I sit beside y/n on the couch, and she shuffles over to make room.

"Hey y/n, so we've been looking for your family for a while, but we can't find anything. Do you remember... anything?" I ask gently, and she looks at me, pausing the TV. She scrunches up the blanket and hugs it tight against her knees. She shakes her head sadly, looking down.

"I just.. woke up at the hospital, not able to remember anything before that. It felt like I was being born... again." she says sadly, and I feel my sympathy to her. Y/n starts speaking again, so I take the opportunity to sneak a glance to the corner of the room. Sure enough, Sam is watching us carefully. And I suddenly have an idea. I wait until y/n finishes her story or whatever, then speak.

"Hey y/n, I was just wondering... would you like me to teach you how to fight monsters?" I ask, and wait for the whole mind blown reaction we get every time. But this time, it never comes. She just looks at me for a moment and shrugs.

"Sure!" I look on in shock as she dusts off her pants and stands.

"Well? Aren't we going?" I stand and clear my throat.

"Uh yeah, right.." I mumble, then take her outside.  I show her all my weapons then show her how to use them, along with teaching her unarmed combat. Surprisingly, she was a real fast learner and got everything down within a half hour. I am walking her in when Sam walks over.

"Hey, uh, y/n! I saw you were practicing combat with Dean? Well I just wanted to ask you if you wanted me to help you with all the boring stuff like the books." he says, and I raise an eyebrow in question. Sam ignores me and instead gives y/n a small smile. Y/n nods slowly, then Sam extends his hand to her. She takes it, and he leads her to the library. I glare at the back of his head, then slowly lower my glare to their hands. I was already starting to like her, and Sam knew that. Probably thinks this is some sort of funny prank. I growl, then go to follow them. Sam teaches y/n some spells and shows her some of the supernatural creatures. She surprises me again by being okay with everything. I do what Sam did before and just hide myself in the corner of the room, watching them carefully. I find slowly that Sam's right. She does seem really familiar. I look closely, taking in every little detail, trying to find anyone in my memory that looks like her.

Where the hell have I seen her before?
