What does the truth matter? No one wants to hear about ugly people, unless they're the villains.
Oh, you've heard of me before, of course. You've been told I mistreated Ella, tried to steal her prince, decided to cut off my heel, and eventually got my eyes plucked out by strangely aggressive doves. Or else, you believed me to be a fool, a selfish brat, and an all-around horrible person.
Only two words of all you've heard are true. Yes, I am Cinderella's stepsister. And yes, I am ugly.
So they sealed up the truth for years and years and years, because no one wanted to hear the true story about the ugly stepsister who actually married the prince.
Times have changed, though. Perhaps now, someone's willing to listen. You can choose whether or not to stop your ears, but I've been silent for too long. Now it's my turn to tell a fairy tale.
