~ Doc's POV ~
"Remi, if I didn't take the punishments, they would've taken you away."
I saw her set the pencil down, and her shoulders began to tremble. That must have hit her. I sighed, leaning back on her bed.
"I'd never let you go there. I would never forgive myself if I gave them to you."
Remi turned to face me, her eyes streaming with tears. I reached forward and she ran into my arms, crying into my shoulder.
"I'm so sorry Father, I'm so sorry..." She sobbed, her voice muffled.
"Don't be. Your Dad and I would do anything if it meant keeping you away from their claws."
She pulled away, wiping her face. "Thanks, Father. I will do anything to get your patients back, I promise." She sniffed, giving me a thumbs up.
I chuckled, placing her plague mask onto her face and kissing her forehead. "Alright then, lets head downstairs and watch some movies, how about that?"
She nodded, and we both headed downstairs. I set up a movie, which was Spiderman: Homecoming (yes, I know it isn't the new one). When I saw it began to play, I headed into the kitchen to grab some snacks. It took me a while to figure out how to start the popcorn, since I wasn't the brightest when it comes to these new kinds of foods, when the lights started flickering. This could only mean ONE person was in a bad mood.
It didn't take long before I heard a click and the front door fly open, slamming into the wall. I turned just in time to see the fuming eyes of Mask, the holes where eyes should be glowing a vibrant purple. The lights continued to flicker violently, and I was afraid they might burst if he didn't calm down, so I went over to him.
"Now, now, Mask. Calm down, right now." It was kind of an order, since he needed to be forced back into a calm state.
"Calm? Calm you say? Calm my ass! Those Foundation Fuckers are completely ruining everything! Μπορούν να πεθάνουν (they can go die)!"
"Shh, lower your tone, dear. Remi is in the other room and you are going to make everyone's ears bleed with that screaming."
I made him sit down, wrapping my arms over his shoulder and resting my chin on his host's head. "Now, explain to me your issue, in a CALM tone."
Mask sighed, and put his face in his hands. "Oh, darling, they're taking away my hosts."
I froze. "What??"
"You heard me. It's not permanent, but I won't have host's for at least a month. I only have a few more in the garage, and those will only last me at least 3 more days."
I stood, uncurling myself from him. I slammed my fist onto the counter, where the popcorn had finished cooking. "I thought they would've done something easier, since I had gotten my patient privileges taken away for 6 months."
I removed the popcorn from the microwave, dumping it into the bowl in frustration. How was I supposed to manage myself a while month without the help of Mask! I grumbled in annoyance when I heard a shuffle from the entrance to the kitchen.
"Père, qu'est-ce qui se passe? (Father, what's going on?)" Remi asked, as her head poked around the corner.
"Rien, retournez dans le salon. (Nothing, go back into the living room.)" I replied. But, she didn't go away, instead coming to the side of Mask, who was still curled over, not looking at anyone.
"Dad, are you okay?" She poked his arm. He sighed, lifting his face to look at her.
"Yes, Remi. Just had a rough encounter with some... old friends."
She nodded, leaving the kitchen. Mask stood, coming over to my side and wrapping one arm around my waist. "Well, at least now you get a break from me." He risked a little smirk, which only got him a punch in the arm.
"Mask, how are you acting so positive?" I frowned. "Although, that does sound quite nice."
"Hey! You weren't supposed to agree with me!" Mask protested.
"Well then, don't say things that are something I would agree with."
"You're such a dick."
"Language!"
Mask chuckled, kissing my forehead before leaving the room. I blushed, still frowning at his sudden change in mood. How could he do that? I felt miserable before, and now I felt fantastic. His stupid ability to manipulate emotions was so annoying.
I brought the bowl in, coming into see Remi rambling on about how hot Tom Holland was to Mask, who seemed to be agreeing. "Um, excuse me? I'm right here."
Remi turned around and giggled, "C'mon, Father! Can't you see the beauty that is being portrayed off of this screen?"
"No. He's some random person who wears spandex, how is that attractive?"
"Aw, are you saying that because you think I'm so much more attractive then him?" Mask piped up. I became flustered, and I heard Remi snort from behind before shushing us.
"Look! Ned is gonna find out he's Spiderman!"
I frowned, coming in and sitting next to Mask, who swiped the popcorn from me and set it in his lap. He wrapped his arm over my shoulder, pulling me to him. It was a little uncomfortable, due to the fact that I was taller then him. But, I rested there anyways. Even though it was only noon, a had been far to into my work last night that I pulled an all-nighter. I needed to get the most in before it was taken away from me. This made it easy to fall asleep, listening to the weird jokes coming from the TV.

I'm trying to get some more of their personalities and the actual 049 x 035 ship in, since I know that's what I would want to read if I came onto one of these stories. Also, who doesn't think Tom Holland is hot? I will fight you on Xbox if you say no. Toodles!
