                                                ~ Remi's POV ~

I hid myself in my room, horrified by what I had just witnessed. I'd never expect that from them. Sure, Father had messy surgeries and Dad had anger issues, but killing people? I couldn't believe it! I curled up on the ground, both the dogs coming up to me and resting their heads by my face. I removed my mask, tossing it onto my bed and wiping my eyes. They must've had a reason to do it, please let it be a valid reason. I pleaded to myself, hoping they didn't just feel like doing it.

I went up to my desk, sitting in front of the little doodles I had. I closed them, pushing them to the side of my desk so I could lay my head on the table. I sat like that, listening to the muffled chatter from downstairs, until a light footsteps came up the stairs and stopped outside my door.

"Remi? Listen, we know you're upset, but you need to start packing. We.. we can't live here anymore."

I was silent.

"Please, we're doing all this for you. If you pack... we promise to explain everything to you. I swear I will."

I was silent again, but I stood from my chair and grabbed a bag. It was Dad at the door, and he must've heard me moving around since I heard him make his way back downstairs. I pushed in books, homework, pencils, and anything that was on my desk. As I began to put clothes in a suitcase, I began to think about how absurd this is. Sure, I was sure our abandonment of the house had something to do with the fight outside, I was still shocked at the fact we weren't allowed to live in our house! What about my school?

I grumbled to myself in disbelief, taking out my bun and letting my curly black hair cover my face as I left my room. I headed downstairs with all my stuff, not making eye contact with anyone. Father came up and took my stuff without a word, heading out to a truck outside.

That's not our car. Why are we taking it? I thought, not seeing Dad come up beside me.

"Listen, I know you're needing an explanation-"

"You're damn right I need an explanation!" I shouted, glaring at him with hateful eyes. I was so confused, only following his instructions to pack because I trusted him and Father. They were always right, right?

"I know, just.. can we get into the truck? We need to leave, now."

"Yea, yea, let me go get something real quick.." I went back to my room, grabbing my plague mask, and bringing Tomato and Ketchup with me. I stalked past Dad, downstairs, putting the mask on, and heading outside. I turned around, looking at the front of our house, which was completely concealed by trees. Was this the last time I'd ever see it? I grew up here, and now all of a sudden I was leaving it.

I felt like it would leave a hole in me, but I couldn't dwell on this, I needed to focus on getting my answers.

I turned to the truck, pushing the dogs in, and heading into the back myself. Father was in the front seat, so I couldn't see him, but Peanut and Uncle Larry were sitting in a soft conversation with each other. They paused, looking up at me and the dogs when I entered, only to turn away and continue their conversation. I sat down on the metal bench uncomfortably, feeling out of place here.

I took out my phone, going onto Instagram and seeing pictures of my classmates. Even though I didn't talk to any of them, I felt even more like a stranger. They're never gonna accept me, after that.

It didn't take long for Dad to make it out to the truck. He went over to the front-seat window, said something to Father, before coming to the back of the truck, taking a seat across from me. I sat up straighter, waiting for the story. He understood this and cleared his host's throat.

"Alright, I guess I promised you an explanation, so I'll give it to you now. I'm sure you are aware of The Foundation, even if you've never been there. You have definitely heard it from your Father and I.

"Those men, they promised to leave you alone in return for our punishments. But, they decided to come here with.. a change of plans. We didn't agree with it, Remi."

"Well, what was their change of plans?" I urged on.

"They.. they wanted to take you. To The Foundation to lock you up. Doc and I would never be able to live with ourselves, do you understand?

"We... had to take care of them Remi, please understand it was all for you. We love you, do you understand that?"

"Dad, why won't you tell me about The Foundation at all? If you're so scared of them, then tell me what to be expecting if I do get taken away!" I shouted, which caused Larry and Peanut to go silent. Dad stared at me, a pained look in his eyes.

"Remi, I want to, but I don't want you to be afraid."

Thanks for reading! I'm really enjoying all of this, and I'd like everyone to know that, although 049 x 035 is amazing, I really like the horror side to the Scp Foundation, so I might lean to a bit of a scary side at times. I promise that they will all be goofs, but I've gotta get past this part eventually. Thanks for reading!
