Maggie could not sleep. Who would with a murderer around? The teenager grabbed an old duffel bag and threw a few spray paint bottles in there. Than put on black combat boots. She left the trailer she called home and despite the fact that there is a murderer on the loose, she left without anyone, completely by herself. Maggie threw away the fear she told her little crush about earlier.

She skated to an old skate park and decided it need a little makeover. The girl's light almost platinum hair was tucked into a dark grey beanie, her old pajamas (consisting of old grey baggie sweatpants and a worn out Guns and Roses t-shirt) and were covered by the dark of the night and a hooded leather jacket. Her grey socks were covered old school vans. Maggie did the typical skate park graffiti. The bubble letter words, the monsters and such. All too the best of her ability in the dark night sky and the stars and the moon lighting the park up.

The girl packed her stuff and head to a 24 hour gas station. She ended up grabbing hair dye. Maggie grabbed a coke, and head to the register. She set the items on the register. "It's a little late to be out." The man at register told her. Keith. That was his name. The two had often met on Maggie's late night escapades.

"It's a little late to be working." Maggie said as she grabbed a twenty that was hidden under her phone case.

"Then I wouldn't see you." Keith replied as he scanned the two items. "It's fifteen and fourteen cents."

Maggie handed him the twenty.

"But you really shouldn't be out." Keith grabbed the twenty, put it in the register and handed her the correct change.

"I know." Maggie took the change and threw it into the pocket of her sweatpants. "I like adventure."

"Which is fine." The man sighed.  "But, adventure might kill you."

"What's so wrong with that?" Maggie asked looking to Keith.

"I'll be glad to say something at your funeral." Keith joked.

"Not the time." Maggie smiled. "Not the time."

"Don't hurt yourself. I'd hate to see a smart girl like you, being taken away from the people who care about you."

Maggie did not know how to react. She grabbed  the two items and put them into her bag. "I'm gonna go."

"Bye Maggie."

The girl walked out of the store. She made her way to a friends place, who she know would be awake. Maggie stood on the porch, calling her friend.

"Mags." A tired voice said though the phone.

"I'm on your porch, let me in."

Maggie heard footsteps through the phone, before the called ended and the door opened. "You're crazy." A girl Maggie's age stepped out and invited her old friend in.

"I need you to help me with something." Maggie carefully grabbed the hair dye out of her bag. "Nic, you're not gonna go to bed in another hour or  so  anyways. You're always watching YouTube."

The girl, Nic, smiled. "I hate you." Nic, or Nicolette Cameron was a Northsider. Nicolette had been friends with Maggie for as long as they can remember. Nic had light brown hair, with dirty blonde highlights and had hazel eyes. She was wearing Adidas sweatpants and a college shirt on.

Nicolette had led Maggie upstairs, to a washroom. "You sure of this?" Nic watched her friend's head nod.

"I need something to change."

"Well, then let's change."
