I place the tray down on my coffee table, handing our guests a cup of tea. Lucy growls at them. I kiss her golden fur in an attempt to calm her down, the man holding a bow shifting uncomfortably."So, how may I help you?" I fold my legs. "I wasn't expecting guests."
"Please excuse our sudden intrusion, ma'am," the man with the intimidating posture said, "But we are searching for a possible threat."
I bring the cup to my lips, "Then what brings you here?"
"Um... the man who sent us must've given us the wrong address. We'd like to ask you some questions and then we'll be on our merry way," the redhead explains.
"Do you live alone? Are you single?" The rich-man questions.
"Tony," the intimidating man warns.
"I'm asking questions," he shrugs innocently. I roll my eyes.
"No, and yes," I said, "I live with Lucy."
"You mean that demon?" The arrow-man points an accusing finger at Lucy. She snaps her jaw at him and he quickly retracts his finger. I send an unamused glare in his direction.
"Do you know anyone named Y/n Malkovich?" The patriotic man said.
"Yeah," I said, "Me."
"What-"
"My turn to ask questions," I unfold my legs and place the tea down, leaving them all in shock. "Who are you and who sent you?"
"You seriously don't know who we are?" The rich-guy asked. "We're the Avenger's, Earth's mightiest heroes. I'm Tony Stark."
"Steve Rogers," the blue-eyed man addressed himself.
"I'm Natasha Romanoff and this is Clint Barton," the redhead said, motioning to arrow-guy.
"Who sent you?" I demand.
"We were sent by S.H.I.E.L.D. and Nick Fury," Rogers said, "We were told that you could be a possible threat to humanity. We were given the address, the name, and the objective. I'd like to ask you to willingly come with us."
"I'm not who you're looking for," I said with a straight face, "So I'd like to ask you to willingly get out of my house."
"Sorry, can't do," Stark stands up, narrowing his eyes down at me, "We came here to get you. And I know you know we're not leaving until you come with."
"I'm not coming," I stand up, staring into his eyes.
"You don't own this property," he remarks. My heart skips a beat. "I can buy it faster than you can say 'I'm not coming.' So come with us, and keep your property, or refuse, and say bye-bye to your precious home."
I masked my anger with a nonchalant gaze. I can't let him get under my skin, I won't give him the satisfaction of making me angry. I don't want to hurt anybody else.
I sigh, "Fine."
"Really? I thought you were gonna punch him," Barton said. "And I was completely here for it."
"Yeah, me too," Romanoff chuckles.
"Violence isn't always the answer," I said. "Please give me some time to gather my things."
"No need," Stark said, his hands resting on his hips, "Everything you need will be provided to you at S.H.I.E.L.D."
"I'm taking Lucy."
This is a small price to pay... If they truly believe I'm a threat, then I'm willing to give up my freedom for everyone's safety.

I walk into the aircraft, Lucy trialing behinds me. She wails uncomfortably. I pick her up as Rogers leads us to a small sitting area.
"It's okay," I whisper, petting her head, "We're gonna be fine."
"Are you hungry?" Romanoff asks. I avoid her gaze and don't answer. She sighs and walks away.
I feel the sofa sink at the weight of someone sitting beside me. I glance up at Stark.
"Aren't you supposed to be piloting the ship?" I ask.
"It can do that itself. JARVIS?" He said.
"Yessir?" His A.I. assistant answers.
"Take us home."
"Yes, Mr. Stark."
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed.
"Sorry about my outburst," he said. I don't look up at him, I just watch Lucy fiddle with the carpet.
"It's fine."
"What were you doing out there all alone?"
"How'd you find me?" I look up into his eyes pleadingly. I watched his smug expression change to a soft one.
Stark shrugs, "Fury knows everything. Don't worry, they won't hurt you. But, uh... could you show me your little wizard tricks?"
"Wizard tricks?" I was a little taken aback.
"Ya know... you're like a magician, right?"
"I'm a little insulted," I grin in amusement. He looked a little flustered. He's adorable, I admit.
"Sorry..."
"It's fine," I said. He looks down at my hand, his eyes growing wide in awe as vibrant colors emerged from my palm. "I can do anything. Watch this..."
I straighten my posture and shoot a beam at the couch, transforming it into a glowing sword.
"Hey, that was my favorite couch!" He cried.
I stand up and pull the sword out of the ground, "I have the power to enhance other people's physical and magical strengths, I can enchant things into other objects, and I can do much more."
"Wait..." Stark grins toothily, "You can enhance strength?"
"Yes?"

We walk into the pilot room. I was dragging a floating Tony by his hand.
"What happened!?" Romanoff exclaims.
"I can fly!"
"Tony, get down here right now!" Rogers demands as Lucy barks.
"Woah..." Barton breathes out, "You did that?"
"Yes?"
"Can you make me fly too?"
"Yes."
