Y/n
The exit opens, revealing a man with an eyepatch waiting for us on the other side. Lucy in Steve's arms, we're lead down to the mysterious looking man. He extends his hand out to shake mine, Lucy barking protectively. He was unbothered, however. I glance down at his dark hand and hesitantly shake it.

"Y/n Malkovich," he spoke in a raspy voice, "My name's Nick Fury. I apologize for the sudden intrusion on your... life, but I'm afraid you'll have to stay here for a while."

I clear my throat and nod, "It's no problem."

"Stark, please give our guest a tour and then bring her to the lab. Meanwhile, Romanoff, Cap, and Barton, please meet me in the lobby."

Natasha
Fury guides us to the lobby, glancing back at us every now and again like we're his children and we're gonna get lost. I smile up at Rogers. I saw the way he blushed when Y/n laughed. It's actually kind of cute. But, unfortunately, he knows nothing about winning a girl like that over. Meanwhile, she's drooling over Stark. But I mean, who isn't? Did you see the guy?

"So... you and Y/n, huh?" I nudge him. Rogers scoffs quietly, his eyes glued to the back of Fury's head.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Did you see how she ignored most of us but then talked to Stark?" Clint winked.

I caught on and smirked, "Yeah, they'd be soooo cute together. I mean, both talented and special, and they're both freakishly beautiful."

As we boasted about the two, Rogers seemed to get more irritated. That's when I realized Lucy is still in his arms.

"Did you... steal her dog?" Clint voices my thoughts.

He rolls his eyes, "No, I just decided I wanted her to stay with me."

"He just wants a piece of Y/n to hold on to while she's with Stark~" I whisper teasingly, Clint snickering and Rogers turning dark red.

Fury sighs, "Shut up. You're gonna make the poor guy explode."

"So, what do you need?" Rogers asks.

"We need to discuss Ms. Malkovich. I've talked to Stark beforehand, 'bout this, but he didn't seem to cooperate. I'm sure I could persuade ya'll to make a different decision. Malkovich's superhuman abilities include telekinesis, levitation, flight, enchanting, strength, super speed, ice, air, water, fire, and Earth manipulation, and possibly shape-shifting."

"How did you find her?" Clint asks.

"Before he left, Banner-"

My head perks up.

"-built a device that could locate extraterrestrial energy. He kept this device hidden and I believe it's because he didn't want anyone to know about Ms. Malkovich. Anyway, we found it and discovered Ms. Malkovich. She used her powers 15 years ago and we're not sure for what."

Lucy growls, Rogers stroking her fur.

"It took us 2 years to track Ms. Malkovich and we kept it on the low."

"Who's 'we'?" I narrow my eyes at him.

"Agent Hill and I."

"And you didn't think to tell us?" Rogers asks emotionlessly.

"The fewer people that knew, the better. Anyway, after researching her a bit, we found that 20 years ago, there was a large supernatural fight between 2 unusual beings but it was in an isolated area."

"So how'd you find out about that?" Clint asks.

"We used the device. Whatever she is, she's the threat."

"Is it not what's after her?" Rogers asked.

"What's after her?" Fury cocks his head. My eyes widen.

"Anyway," Fury continues, "I suggested we turn her powers into a weapon-"

"What!?" I snap.

"You said something was after her. We could use her powers to defend this country," Fury said nonchalantly, his hands folded on his desk. Lucy barks angrily, Rogers standing up in his seat.

"Why can't she defend the country herself?"

"How do we know she's on our side?"

"She's been living alone this entire time, you're the one who pushed her to come here. She wasn't a threat before she came here."

"Again," Fury stands, Rogers, holding his ground. "We have no idea if she's a good guy or a bad guy or if she was planning on coming back."

"Hell no," Barton seethes, "And if you think we're gonna hand an innocent girl over to you that easily, you've got another thing coming."

Both Steve and Clint begin to exit the room, glancing back at me. I look up at Fury pleadingly, but he didn't seem to be fazed. I sighed and followed the two.

"Sorry."
