Hey everyone, this is my first fanfic, so I seriously hope y'all enjoy this and leave positive comments about what you think. Thank you.💞

Rihanna's POV

"Robyn Rihanna Fenty, come down here and eat up, sweetheart. I don't want you to be late on your first day of high-school!"

Mom had called out.

I had just got done putting the final touches on my uniform which consisted of a white blouse, a long sleeve velvet and gold vest with our school's mascot (a bulldog) printed on our left front shoulder, a kaki beige skirt, some knee high socks, and a pair of navy blue flats.

Last but not least was my hair.

Since my intent was to look professional, I'd just let my auburn locks fall down to the side as usual.

I had made sure everything about my makeup was on point and that the eyeliner had fully accentuated my hazel eyes.

Once everything was good to go, I grabbed my backpack and made my way downstairs to the kitchen.

I saw mom, my big sister Hilary who was going on to the tenth grade, and my twin sister Janet already at the table eating.

"Finally someone's bothered to show their face this morning." Hilary muttered snobbishly.

I pulled up a chair to the table, where I was greeted with a balanced plate of sausage, eggs, and toast, along with a glass of orange juice to the side.

I sat down and began munching on my breakfast, while doing so, I noticed Janet was chomping down on her food rather harshly.

"Calm down Janet, you might choke!"

I said half-jokingly.

She rolled her eyes at the remark.

"Listen, I'm sorry alright? Quite frankly, I don't think I'm ready for high-school, it's more of a social event if you ask me, and all of you know how much I suck at socializing. Don't even get me started on the boys, they're nothing but a bunch of low lives who only want one thing!"

I chuckled at her response.

"It's definitely not a High School Musical, but I'm positive it won't be that bad."

I reassured Janet.

"Well ladies, time's up! Let's get this show on the road shall we?"

Mother had exclaimed enthusiastically as she cleaned up her place at the table.

My sisters and I proceeded to do the same.

Time was very important to my mom, especially since she worked a rather demanding job.

Lawyer to be precise and she wouldn't dare be late for a single case.

We gotten into the silver Cadillac that had been waiting for us in the driveway, Hilary had called shotgun as usual.

Eventually, we were off to Bel-Air Academy.

Bel Air Academy 8:30 am

The bell was about to ring and I had barely five minutes to make it to my class on time.

I didn't want to risk getting detention on my first day of freshman year, yet I was just standing there in the hallway, holding the schedule in my hands, and panicking like a total maniac as waves of sophomores and seniors passed by, making it hard for me to spot any other fellow ninth graders.

I felt an unexpected push against my hip.

"Watch where you're going, ponce!" a voice had snapped.

I was about ready to go off when I caught a glimpse of the student who had spoke to me in such an objectionable manner, but I lost sight of him in the crowd.

I didn't see his face so all I knew about him was that he was tall and had curly, jet black hair.

"Ugh that motherfucker."

I mumbled to myself.

It wasn't so long that after that mishap, I had found a girl standing near the lockers who looked about my age.

"Um excuse me, do you happen to know where Ms. Carter is for science?" I asked.

"Yeah, she should be right down the hall to your left." the young lady grinned.

"Thank you so much." I said as I began to bolt off into the distance.

"Please, just call me Dominique." she shouted in response.

Dominque eh? I can definitely remember that..

Dominique.

I went straight down the hall, then to my left, there, a sign hanging above the door read "CARTER" in big, bold letters.

I swiftly headed over there and stepped inside the class.

"Ms. Fenty, you arrived just in time!"

A beautiful, tall, brown-skinned woman in a black dress had stepped up to me.

"Please c'mon in, you can take a seat here next to Mr. Mercury on your far right." she pointed.

At the moment, I had recognized the kid, all thanks to that hair of his.

"That's the guy who called me that pathetic name in the halls earlier, ain't no way I could possibly deal with being beside him!"

I thought to myself.

He turned to face me, but quickly turned back to his seat while rolling his eyes.

I just had to know this period was gonna be hell.
