Rihanna's POV

I stormed out of the basement, slamming the door behind me.

Everything was going just fine until I heard the name come from Roger's mouth.

I was already pissed at the fact that I had to deal with that boy in school, I was damn sure not gonna deal with him outside.

Today was not the day to play.

I was just about to merely exit the house when I heard footsteps behind me.

It was Janet.

"What the hell is your problem, Robyn? Can't you at least try and work out y'alls differences for the remainder of our stay? The last thing I'd want to do is let you ruin my chances at a normal social life because of something petty that happened between you and some kid!" she gritted her teeth.

"Oh well excuse me, Miss I-Suck-At-Socializing, you never told me what had happened with that. Were you trying to boast me or something?"

From the way things were looking with this guy she had met two weeks ago, I suspected she was putting up some sort of facade that morning, on the first day of school.

While Janet was going through her little awkward phase in middle school, she was barely noticed, I, somehow was the main attraction, then, over the summer, she glowed up.

I don't mean to sound conceited or anything, but she must've known she was bad as hell that day when the family were all seated at the table.

Not to mention, she's got not one, but two guys on her tail!

I mean, Roger couldn't had possibly thought he was slick, he seemed like a bit of a whore to me, but that's for another day.

"Boast you? People do change, you know that right?"

I could see right through that woman's lie, which was starting to make her get on my bad side just as much as Freddie.

"Honey, I don't have any time for the mixed personalities, you can go with that kid and his band, but l want no parts of it, and I mean NONE."

I guess my talking was a bit too loud because Brian had came to check up on us.

"Ladies, is everything alrig-"

"Stay out of it."  I held my hand up, pausing Brian mid sentence.

Janet had quickly took my whole arm in one grip and put it back down to my side.

"You're being rude and disgusting, seriously Robyn, can we please attempt at finding a solution for this?"

"The answer is no Janet and it will forever stay that way, there's nothing that you can say or do that is going to change my fucking mind, so just leave me alone already, and have your fun, I'll be at home."

"Well if that's how you feel, then fine, I'll stop begging."

I scoffed, and slowly started to walk away, giving her the death stare.

I've always had Janet's back since the day we were born, and this is how she repays me?

I couldn't believe she was actually being serious right now.

Suddenly, the door had opened. Behind was, well you guessed it.

Freddie Fucking Mercury.

My blood boiled at the sight of him.

Just when he was about to head into the basement, I stopped him dead in his tracks.

My eyes had met with his dark, spellbinding gaze, filled with sincere and such melancholy.

And maybe....guilt?

I didn't know whether to listen to the part of me saying I should give him a chance or the part of me that just said go for it.

Less than soon enough, I had made my decision, and in that instant, I had completely lost control of my actions.

I grasped onto his shirt collar and hurled him onto the hardwood floor with all my might.

"Next time you call me something other than my name, call me an independent black woman."

I charged right out of the house after.

As my boot hit the third to final step, I could hear the blood curdling screams of Mary, and boy did it feel great!

The next week of school was bound to be a breeze now that I had finally done what needed to be done.

I mean hey, it's what he deserves!
