O'Shaun walked out his front door and headed to school, Bailey came running out of her house after him. Her hair was down, and she had on a short black denim skirt and a white long sleeve top. She had on white tennis shoes and carried her black slouch bag on her arm.

"Hey, wait up!" She yelled at him puffing.

O'Shaun turned around and waited, he looked at her beautiful long legs running towards him, her large brown eyes sparkled as she caught up to him.

"What's up?" He said quietly.

He carried his backpack on his back, Janice made sure she packed him a full lunch in the morning with a sandwich and fruit. Tony offered to take him to school but he said he wanted to walk.

"Not much," she said as they continued to walk in silence.

"You aight? I mean last night and shit. I didn't mean to bring up anything that would make you cry."

"Yea, it's not your fault. I always get sad thinking about her. So, what about your parents, are they pretty cool?"

"Yea they're alright." He didn't want to talk about it and tell her he was a foster kid, so he changed the subject. "Do you play any sports? You ran here pretty quick and the way you manoeuvre your way through them trees, either you're a gymnast or you're a diamond thief." He grinned.

Bailey laughed out loud and pushed him, "you're funny. I used to swim, but I stopped doing that now since my Mom passed. My Dad doesn't have the time to take me to any trainings and stuff."

"What about at school? They have a huge pool out there."

"My Mom used to come to all my trainings and comps," she said looking down. "Who will come and see me now? I don't want to be 'that' girl, who is alone, and everyone feels sorry for. I'd rather not."

"Maybe you can teach me how to swim, I've only ever been in a bathtub." He laughed.

"Shit with a name like ocean, you should be a deep-sea diver." She giggled. O'Shaun looked at her pretty teeth, and her deep dimple that burrowed deep into her cheek. "I see you got jokes," he laughed as they walked up into the school grounds.

"I'll see you later," she said waving goodbye and vanished into the crowds of other kids.

Marcus and Smitty saw him coming, his tall stature made everyone look like midgets.

"What's up bruh!" Smitty said as he bro hugged O'Shaun.

"Sup, man?"

"I heard you smashed Mandy! Bruh, that was slick." He laughed and gave O'Shaun a high five, he unwillingly reciprocated.

"What?" He looked surprised.

"All over social media my man! You only been here a week and you already front-page news boy!" Marcus said laughing and reaching out to show him the post on his phone. It was a picture with Mandy's hand on O'Shaun's crotch and her face almost touching his.

This is bullshit! He thought to himself, he knew the guys thought that it was cool, but he didn't.

O'Shaun walked down the hall, as all the guys in his year were high fiving him. He didn't even have a social media account let alone know how he could log into one. Why would Mandy make up some shit like that? He thought to himself. I've never even been with a girl.

O'Shaun walked into class and a few kids from the basketball team were sitting in the back of class, they gestured him to come over.

"Hey O'," a tall brown skinned boy stood up with an afro mohawk. "I'm Devon, this here is Trey and Gabe. We play on the same team." They fist bumped one another, Devon kicked a kid out of his seat in the back row and made way for O'Shaun to sit.
