Sylver turned around and fled.
"Never turn your back on your opponent!", Matt called, and Sylver ignored him.
Getting away was important for a start. She had seen Eyelash's speed, she knew she couldn't compete with that, and now wit the Eta One and Matt she had gotten her confirmation. She needed her Focus, otherwise she wouldn't be fast enough to compete with these robots, she wasn't aware enough. When she was at the wall, she closed her eyes. Her senses went into overdrive, just in time to notice that the Eta Four was right behind her, grabbing her, and throwing her across the room hard.
The first thing Sylver noticed after that was that she couldn't feel her surroundings like she usually could. The room had been artificially created, meaning it had flaws in it. The Mechs didn't have any of those though, they had clearly been the main focus (lol) of the creator. But Sylver could see that it was slower than the Eta One, and it had no weapon, but Sylver had lost her own sword as well, and her only chance was to cut the Eta Four open with one, so she'd have to get a new one, and fast, as the robot was charging towards her again. Sylver immediately saw she wouldn't be fast enough to get a weapon before it caught up, and that it would go for her head as soon as it realised she was using her brain. Damned be the brain. Also a very ugly motherfucker. But Sylver could use this to her advantage as well, she just had to make the Eta-unit see.
The first swing came from Sylver's right, which was closer to the weapon's stand, so it was easy to anticipate, but still hard to dodge because of the immense speed. The next punch was a sharp jab at her right shoulder, trying to dislocate her arm so she couldn't even hold a sword if she got there, but somehow Sylver managed to turn her body around by 180 degrees, which made the Eta Four only shatter her left shoulder blade and throw her around and to the ground.
Fuck.
But at least she'd be able to still hold and use the weapon she'd need to get a hit in, and she used the momentum from the punch to roll into a crouch, from which she sprang up and ran towards the weapons, to which she now had a head start. Sylver could see and feel Matt somewhere to her left now, watching her carefully, judging her for miscalculating that the Eta Four would catch her before she made it. Just as planned.
Sylver felt the vibrations in the artificial underground changing, shifting, coming closer, so she doubled back just when it would have caught her, and the Eta Four rushed past her, seemingly astounded by the strange move to stay still instead of run out of nowhere. But it knew now that Sylver's brain was working faster than before, but it had no clue about her Focus, it only had calculated an adrenalin rush or performance enhancing drugs at most.
It came at her again, going for the head with a left hook followed by a hammer from above, which Sylver only barely dodged, but not in the direction the Mech had calculated.
Sylver rushed forwards and rammed the Eta Four with her functioning shoulder, and even though it hurt as hell to run straight into the metal plating, it threw it backwards, but before Sylver could be grabbed she ducked underneath the right arm, turned around and pushed against the Eta Four from behind. It, having lost its balance, could easily be moved, and Sylver did it with strong and quick steps, and with a final heave she threw it forwards.
And the Eta Four did not fall over. It turned its head and tried to extend its arms as far as possible, but Sylver was out of reach, and the Eta couldn't get closer anymore.
"Wow. That was... impressive. It was really bad, but suddenly... you got better, thought, and... got hurt really stupidly, hurt yourself really stupidly, but somehow you got close enough to the weaponstand to potentially get a weapon. Instead, you threw the Eta Four onto it, getting it stuck on all the various weapons that you pierced through it with enormous luck. It was a combination of stupidity, luck, good thinking and skill. But you managed. I can work with this, Eyelash or Ass will be able to work with this as well, and Snuff would be able to do quite much with you as well I think, the way you turned everything around now. If you keep this kind of training up, then you'll be doing enough progress to compete with the others in a week. We'll have to work on your careless attitude though, but without... Sylver, what is it?", Matt praised and scolded her while walking up to her, but the aftereffects of her Focus began to set in, and Sylver hated her life once again.
