Sylver hated her life. Damned be her brain for having this stupid Focus. Damned be her brain for being unable to control it. Damned be her brain for suddenly thinking about the fact that she'd soon be spending a night in the same room as a psychopathic hot woman who had kissed her a very short time ago after killing and seriously injuring a bunch of buff people.
"Sylver?", Matt asked, his blue eyes looking at her really strangely as he kneeled besides her, "What just happened?"
Quick. Think, Sylver. Brain. Working. Failing. AfterFocus, the smile of Goldie as she told her she had said nothing while being passed out, a smile she had never seen again afterwards, imprinting itself into her inner eye, rubbing her loss in like chili, pepper and salt being rubbed into a fleshwound.
"I'm fine, just... wow I'm dizzy, I hadn't realised how... fuck, the Eta Four really... is there any water in here?", Sylver stammered, acting confused. Which wasn't all too difficult, as this whole situation was fucking with her mind. It still was the first day she was in here officially, and she had seen so much shit. If her life before The Cave hadn't been similar, she would've probably fainted without the Focus. And in six more days there would be so much more of this bullshit trying to kill her. And there still was Eyelash waiting in her, or their, room. Wow.
Sylver got so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice that Matt suddenly had a glass of water in his hand, giving it to Sylver, and she drank all of it in one go.
Wait, did he stand up and get one? Did it just appear? Why did she have a headache now? Why could she see Eyelash smiling at her now?
"Who is Damion?", Matt yanked her from her thoughts, punching her in the face, chest and stomach at the same time with just these three words. How did he know of him? How did Matt find out? How did he know? What did he know? Was he in on his death? Did he know his murderers?
"Damon? Damion? I knew a Damion once, but that was a long long time ago... Why do you ask, is that a criminal Squad 0 will be pursuing? Because then we probably won't be talking about the same person here...", Sylver was impressed by how easily the lies rolled down her tongue, and even the laugh at the end sounded more genuine than the nervous cackling sound her brain was making.
Matt smiled. His smile seemed genuine too, for an instance, then he said, "Strange... you mumbled his name while you were out... you also mentioned a Sherry and a  Goldie? Is that normal for you, to say names from your past while you are unconscious? I know who Goldie is, she was your partner who broke into the Watchtower with you, but I was curious... were Damion and Sherry the other two people in your crew that coordinated everything from outside?"
What. What was happening. She had spoken? While being knocked out cold? And about Goldie and... and Sherry... how could that be possible, Goldie had said that nothing happened when she fainted from her Focus... but the image of her face, of her smile, came back to her mind again... had Goldie lied? That wasn't possible, Goldie looked different when she lied... what was happening...
"Uhm... oh wow... uhm... You can ask Ass to confirm this, but the heist was only pulled off by Goldie and me. Oh, and the guy who betrayed us of course. There was nobody else involved, we trusted noone else with that mission. Damion was an old friend from before I got into stealing, and Sherry... had nothing to do with this fucked up world full of magic. And you'd better keep their names out of your mouth while you are at it, or I repeat that Eta Four-treatment with your body the next time! Do NOT pull this into my life in this shithole called The Cave here. They belong outside. To happier times. So leave them out of your mouth, understood?", Sylver almost shouted at Matt, not knowing where the confidence to stand up for herself suddenly came from.
'Of course you know, darling! From Damion! He's still with us! As is Goldie!', her brain told her, reassuring her.
'And Eyelash is here as well! So much excitement!', her brain chimed in.
'Shut up, we don't want her to get red now, Matt won't take her seriously if she gets red!', her brain shot back.
'But Eyelash is the dream! Have you seen her? She definitely saw us, and maybe she could love us like we always wanted Goldie to love us?', her brain insisted.
'And now she will not only get red, but also start crying! You outdid yourself, you stupid bitc...', her brain began, but Matt interrupted the conversation in her brain, "Well won't you look at that? You've got some serious fighting spirit, I saw that from the start, when you were walking down hallways you shouldn't even have gotten into, and now your body and your brain arrived! You are going to climb high in this world, Sylver. You'll be on top in no time, what a twisting revelation!"
'The brain didn't arrive!', one part of her brain laughed, while the other part said, 'He just smiled, wickedly, like he was genuinly happy... is that a good or a bad sign?'
Sylver said nothing, she just wished Matt would hit her so hard on the head that she could faint again.
"You did enough for today!", Matt sadly went on instead of carving her skull in, "I'll bring you back now, and from tomorrow onwards you will continue training with Eyelash or Ass, depending on them of course. We will meet again in a few days when we explore your elemental powers, and I'll let you fight the more challenging Eta Three then. If you manage to hold your own against the Eta Two without weapons at the end of the sixth day you will survive The Cave for sure, and the more work you put in afterwards, the easier it'll get for me to get you out of here, if only for missions. Come on, time to see if Eyelash gets to spend the night as your or Wildcards' roommate!"

When they entered room 137 Eyelash was already waiting for them with a huge grin on her pretty face.
"You are finally back! Yay!", her voice rustled, and with a harder voice she went on, "Hi Matt. Ass went through my head, she found out that I was speaking the truth, while I found out that she is afraid of our dear Sylver here, which I find very amusing! Now, you may leave, you are spending way too much time with us trainees! I'll take care of Sylver here, we'll have so much fun together, and I'll teach her to beat your ass! Thanks sweetie, XOXO, show more trust in me next time!"
Wow. Sylver was so taken aback by her tone that she took a step back towards the door. Matt, on the other hand, laughed.
"Eyelash, you are such a bitch, I love you girl! Great talk sister, I love the progress you are making!", he chuckled, turned around and was about to leave, when Eyelash began to laugh as well, saying, "Bro, you're such an idiot! If she does die, then I'm looking forward to doing this again soon! Tell me again if you want to get rid of some idiots, I'll do that either way!"
What. What just happened.
"Sure thing, see you soon!", Matt said with a little wave, and he closed the door behind him.
Before her brain could start turning its gears Sylver was pressed against the wall for the second time this day, and again by Eyelash. And again, she came up to Sylver's face so closely that they could kiss any moment once again. Her amazing smell found its way back into her nose again, and it took everything in her power to not lean forwards and take it all in more deeply.
'Kiss her you fool! She wants this, you want it!', her brain screamed at her in loops, over and over again, while the other part of her tried to chime in, 'Isn't it a bit early for that?'
Eyelash smiled at her, without saying a word. Sylver looked back, into her amazing milky white eye, and would've gotten lost in it, if she hadn't remembered where the other eye was located. Eyelash's left hand wandered up her arm, and Sylver could feel her eye moving underneath the eyelid, she could feel the scars, and her arm unconsciously went up to meet Eyelash's, moving her fingers up, following the scars. Eyelash slowly let out her breath.
"Hi", she whispered. How did she smell so good?
"H...hi Eyelash...", Sylver whispered back, and she hated how insecure she sounded.
Eyelash's hand was now moving over her shoulder, making her shudder, but not out of fear. When the hand reached her neck she could feel the eye opening, and her own arm went to Eyelash's wrist, and she closed her eyes. What was happening? How was this possible, how did she feel safe with this maniac? And why so fast? This made no sense.
Sylver led Eyelash's hand upwards, until it lay on her face again, and now she could finally see both of her eyes if she just opened her own, but she didn't, she couldn't. She was afraid. This wasn't love. It wasn't what she had felt whenever she had been with Goldie. This was different. Eyelash wanted her. She could really see Sylver, Sylver had felt that from the first second. It was something different. Something new. Something crazy, dangerous, deadly. Something beautiful. She could feel Eyelash leaning more into her, and then finally... Sylver felt Eyelash's forehead on her own.
"You are so beautiful, my dear Sylver! You should lose whatever you feel when I am with you, I don't want you to get hurt. We should go to bed, we have much to do in the next days, you aren't safe alone yet. But I'll protect you. Good night!", Eyelash said all of a sudden, kissed her nose, and went away.
What. Sylver opened her eyes. Eyelash was gone.
What.
