observe......
-
Greed has come to understand some of Valentino's habits. After being around him quite a bit, he was starting to understand his emotions a bit more.
Whenever he was stressed, he would either smoke or drink and sigh two times more than he usually does.
When he works on his laptop he wears glasses, but otherwise he never does.
He tends to do the dishes in the middle of the night.
He's never seen him drink anything that wasn't alcohol or coffee.
He actually doesn't seem to like suits that much despite wearing a dress shirt almost all the time.
He was beginning to understand some of the things about Val, but there was still so much he didn't know.
It was like observing an animal like scientists do on Animal Planet. He was a complete mystery.
The random acts of kindness were unexplained. The cookies, the blanket, hell, sometimes he even left dinner for Greed when he comes home late from partying. The next day he would act as if nothing happens and then threatens to rip out Greed's spine again. Or maybe lock him in his own room. Like always. Greed just wanted answers. He could never straight up ask what he was thinking, he didn't want to confront him. And of course Val wouldn't answer anyway.
Greed was bothered and didn't know how to act around Val sometimes. He didn't know when it was right to tease him or when to leave him alone anymore.
Greed was lying on his mattress staring up at the ceiling.
God, this was so annoying.
He sat up suddenly and ruffled his hair.
"So confusing," he grumbled out loud. He then sighed. This man was making his life difficult and Greed was frustrated as hell. He just wanted answers. He wanted answers!!!
He flopped back into his bed.
"Maybe I'm just overthinking it..."

Greed had fallen asleep when he had flopped onto his bed. He rose slowly and checked the time on his phone. 1:00 AM. He only took a short nap, then.
"Guess I'll take a midnight walk," Greed said to himself, getting up and grabbing a sweater from his closet. He got a random pair of socks and slipped on comfortable shoes and headed for the street.
When Greed exited the building he took a deep breath and stretched his arms upwards. Sometimes vampires need fresh air too. He sighed. The night air of New York City was a bit chillier today. As he was turning to start his walk, he saw a familiar figure leaning on the wall.
It was Val. But he looked different. Greed had never seen him like this before.
He began to take in every detail. He wasn't wearing a suit or a dress shirt, just comfortable looking clothing that you'd see normal people wear indoors. (Albeit, they were from expensive brands.) His usual slicked back hair looked a bit damp and his bangs fell over his face. And of course he was smoking outside. He didn't look angry, or upset, not even fake happy. He just looked... well, normal. He looked a lot more like his brother this way.
Valentino took the cigarette from his lips and puffed out some smoke. "How long are you gonna stand there and stare at me? At least be weird and clingy like you usually are."
Oh.
Greed didn't even realize he was staring. He walked over to Valentino and smiled. "If you smoke while your hair is wet the scent'll get stuck in your hair," Greed suggested, half joking. He leaned on the wall about two feet away from Valentino. "I don't mind," Valentino replied rather passively.
The two shared silence for a bit. Valentino's cigarette eventually became too small, and Valentino had to step on it.
"...Are you stressed?"
"Hm?"
"Are you stressed?"
"What makes you say that?"
Greed pointed at the cigarette underneath Valentino's shoe.
"...Oh."
More silence.
That was so awkward, Greed thought, immediately regretting asking that question. After a few seconds he got a quiet reply.
"Maybe."
Valentino looked up at the sky.
"You really can't see any stars in the city, huh."
Greed looked up as well.
"Yeah."
