Weeks had passed, nothing odd had happened after that night in the car. Val was just as cruel as ever, locking Greed in his room if he took his cash or cards, Greed teasing him in public as often as possible. Greed decided it was best not to bring it up, as Val didn't even seem to remember what he had done. The two made frequent, usual trips to McDonalds, Ikea with the rest of the house, and if Val was feeling EXTRA generous (AKA Greed never letting go of Val until he complies), the entire house was treated to an expensive dinner. Greed had put the entire experience behind him, as it seemed to be irrelevant now.
He did his usual things, drinking, parties, one night stands, theft, he did it all like he normally would've. Flirted with people he met at bars, buying 400 dollars worth of stuff with Val's bank account, you name it. Eventually he had forgotten it had even happened.

It was very late into the night, maybe around 2AM, Greed didn't know. He returned to the dorms and entered quietly as to not wake his roommates who were most likely sleeping. Val had left him some leftovers in the fridge. That's my daddy~ he thought to himself, placing the leftovers into the microwave to heat it up. Once the food was done heating, he ate quietly in the dark, with the exception of one light left on.
"I'm just curious," a voice started.
Greed jumped and looked up at the source of the voice. Val was leaning on the wall, with his work glasses on. He must've been awake doing work or writing reports. "At least make your presence known..." Greed sighed a sigh of relief. Val seemed to ignore that statement and continued. "What do you get out of playing around like that? I usually only do the things you do if it benefits my company, but I really don't understand your reasoning."
"..."
"I'm not scolding you or anything, I just want to know where your need to do risky things comes from."
"...Do I need a reason~?" Greed hummed.
"No. Just enjoy your dinner, okay?"
