I was young and careless and dumb,
Too small to even look ahead.
Couldn't predict the way you would numb,
My heart until it turned to lead.
Baby, you're cruisin' away.
The several nights of tears and loss,
That filled my pillow and dreams from you.
The sleepless nights was such a little cost,
Compaired to the sorrow that was due.
Baby, you're cruisin' away.
I remember when you told me what you've done,
Said that you felt alone and isolated.
I was sure you were my love, the one,
And I let the problem be disinigrated.
Baby, you're cruisin' away.
Now, I realize that it never dissapeared,
My trust for you is still shaking day by day.
I want to just leave the past as the past,
But how can I when your previous lies are in the way?
Baby, I'm cruisin' away.
Allas there is nothing left to say,
I hope our endless love will go on longer.
You have me in the palm of your hand,
To where I cannot stand for you to wander.
Baby, don't let us cruise away.
