Our foolish generation hasn't been taking into consideration,
That in a blink of an eye, all could fade away.
As quickly as a storm blows away a raven,
Is the amount of time it takes; this is not childs play.
Each day needs to be lived to its extent,
For we may wake up one morning and only see darkness.
Another minute, second, hour, gone and went,
And it will make us look back with regretfullness.
Every goodbye you say, think of it as your last,
A single kiss shall not be taken for granted.
One tight embrace could go so fast,
As a simple laugh should forever be enchanted.
Despite the hourglass emptying, bewhere of the trap,
Do not get caught and grow up to soon.
As others around you may fall in this gap,
Keep in mind that you are not yet old like the moon.
When the years go by, one will look back and say
"Oh, how I wish I was young once more!"
So why then, waste these years of youth astray,
But instead live them in happiness that's accounted for.
My dearest, it's clear to see that we're running out of time,
And there is no way to stop it's dreaded ending.
Except lay in each other's arms; that is not a crime,
As we remember we are young, let us stop pretending.
