It is said that the grass is always greener on the other side,
But is that really the way it goes?
You look across when you've finally made it,
But instead of feeling alive, a part of you has surely died.
You're scared, lost, out of control,
You are drifting through the wind without cause.
Wondering if you've made a mistake,
Hoping one day to bring yourself back to extol.
Because without that person you seem to be nothing,
Unable to be a separate being.
Praying each night for the past to change,
And wishing that the grass would apear more stunning.
But the unfortunate realization is this;
Life is not meant to be joyous.
Pain and suffering are at every angle,
Eating you up and planting a poisoness kiss.
The poison is tearing you apart my dear,
So run while you still have strength.
Do not be tempted to search for you're other half,
Because it will lead your heart to be stabbed with a spear.
Love is told often to be everlasting and quite beautiful,
But is that really the way it goes?
Perhaps in reality, the love we know is oppisite,
It destroys the heart and soul until they are no longer doable.
