It was later that same day and Cordelia was in her office doing headmistress stuff. Sorting out files and planning lessons mostly. She was busily working when she heard a knock on the door. Madison usually came to ask some annoying question to her around this time so she ignored the knock. A few seconds later there was a second knock.

"Not now, come back later." She responded

" It's uhm, sort of important Miss Cordelia." It was Misty.

"Oh Misty, sorry I didn't know it was y- Never mind, come in" she said

Misty popped her head through the door and scrunched up her eyebrows, "Ya sure? You seemed a little busy."

"I'm not. What did you need?  If it's about the greenhouse then I can't head up there yet, I have piles of work-"

"yeah about that, Miss Cordelia can we do a rain check? I was going to hang out with Maddie and Zoe and some of the other girls tonight." she asked politely

Cordelia's spirit dropped which caught her by surprised. Until that moment she hadn't realised how she actually looked forward to spending time with Misty. She got a little angry that Misty had chosen to hang out with the other girls. But it made sense. Of course she'd rather spend time with her fiends than her teacher. Still Cordelia couldn't stop feeling disappointing.  She tried her best to hide it.

"Is that okay?" asked Misty, snapping Cordelia back into reality.

"Fine."

"Should we reschedule for tomorrow..."

"So is this it? They've convinced you that incantations is the best. Despite how naturally talented you are and hoe much hard work we both know you put into plants and herbs. And you know as well as I do that you enjoy it a hell of a lot more than any other class." Cordelia knew she was being harsh, but it was better if she expressed it from a teacher's point of view then from a... she didn't know what it was. But it definitely wasn't just a teacher's concern.

"Miss Cordelia I'm-" Misty was at a loss for words, she did not expect Cordelia to respond like this.

"No it's fine really, do whatever you please. Just don't come crying to me in the middle of the semester when you realise you don't like the subject you chose-"

"MISS CORDELIA PLEASE!" That came out a little harsher than misty had expected.

Cordelia quickly turned her head to make direct eye contact with the younger witch, raising her eyebrows.

"Sorry," continued Misty, " I didn't mean to shout. But i didn't say nothin' about doing incantations. In fact I already selected my area of magic. Plants and herbs..."

Cordelia blushed and looked down. She had yelled at Misty for no reason. " Misty I'm sorry for yelling I'm just under a lot of stress- and I- I know that's no excuse but it's the truth and-"

Misty put her hand on top of the older witches and stroked her pale fingertips. " I know. I remember from the morning. I just want ya to know that I really do enjoy the time I spend in the greenhouse." Misty hesitated a little before continuing, " I enjoy spending time with you Miss Cordelia." Cordelia raised her head to look at Misty. " Maddie just asked me to hang out with her and some of the others tonight so I said I would, she said we're going to do something fun." Misty smiled, "But if you want to go to the greenhouse i can just go tell-"

Cordelia lit up inside about the fact that Misty would drop all her plans for her. Well technically it was for the greenhouse but still.

" No No, it's okay. Go have fun with your friends. But make sure you all eat dinner first, it's in an hour."
