war & eagles

He moved away as both of us stood up.
We immediately ran out of the falling building. I looked up at the sky. It was dark, like some thunderstorm was about to happen.
"Tony, this looks scary.", Steve said looking at me.
"Like the world will end any moment now.", I replied as soon we could see those black eagles storming towards us.

Yes, black metal eagles with some human - like things sitting on top of them storming towards us.

I thought we were about to be crushed under them but something else happened all together.
They went and stood in a line opposite to the collapsing building. I glanced at Steve who glanced back at me in confusion.
"Eva?", I whispered.
"Say, I can hear you.", She replied on the microphone attached to my ear.
"What are these eagles? I can't understand.", Steve said, it was like a conference so that everyone could hear each other at the same time.

"Is my brother there?", Eva asked.
"I won't recognise–", suddenly I paused and stared at the man opposite to me.
"Impossible.", I whispered and then turned towards Steve who looked as shocked at me.
"Who is it?", Eva asked.
"My dad.", I whispered looking straight at my father, Howard Stark, leading the army.

"No! It's not your dad! It's my brother! He is deceptive.", She said as she finally came and stood beside me.
Slowly everyone emerged out of the tower.
"What do you mean?!", This was Peter.
"To different people he looks different. He looks like the person you lost, a man from your life who is dead.", She said as I looked at Steve again. I knew he too saw dad.

"Does not matter. We will fight. There is no other way out. We are the Earth's Mightiest Heroes and we will fight him and win.", Steve said, stepping forward.
"I agree.", This was Sam Wilson, who stepped beside Steve.
"Then let's kick their ass.", I said feeling a deep sense of confidence as I immediately took to the sky followed by Pepper, Valkyrie and the others. That was my job,to lead the team in the sky.

Everybody stood with bated breath. The celestial army of Domaubris had taken their positions. He looked confident as he stood opposite us. A certain calm prevailed around him. And I could see the gleam of the 'Will Stone'. It hung like a necklace around his neck as he looked at everyone with a smile, an unkind smile.

Steve finally looked up at me as I nodded. He nodded and said,

"Avengers.. Assemble!"

And we attacked. I knew, all we had to do was to get that Stone from Domaubris who looked like my dad making everything worse. Domaubris immediately snapped as all the eagles with human looking beings mounted on its back attacked. Some took to the sky, some suddenly turned into horses and marched on the land.

The war had begun.

"Remember..", Eva paused most probably fighting someone, "They are celestial.. if any of Domaubris' bolts hit you straight, you'll die. And your soul will be destroyed. Forever.", She said as the sounds of her struggling against someone became audible. I was fighting against one of these guys on the sky and honestly, it was difficult. The eagle was not a machine, it was alive. Or maybe run with Artificial Intelligence, you never know... If Gods also use it. The eagle attacked me and I immediately ducked it, the guy mounted on it stood up, something like a light saber in his hand ready to behead me. I immediately tried to blast it off with Lazer but it missed and thankfully hit another guy on another eagle. I too mounted on the eagle as it tried it's best to throw me off. I immediately snatched the light saber and plunged it throw the guys chest and pushed him down, drawing a breath of relief.

"Tony!", I heard Steve's panicked voice.
"What?!", I asked immediately.
"Behind you–", he did not complete as I immediately turned.
