Everybody knows that history teachers are absolutely the worst and that the history class is so boring one might as well just sleep.

Peter had always loved history. There was something fascinating about the past, their traditions and their habits. And their teacher had a way of making her classes interesting enough that even Abe manages to stay awake during her period.

Miss Rilestone was a young woman who had just graduated university. She brought her history lessons to life as she flew through her course. When they were studying Rome, she managed to hire two professional swordfighters to come to her class and whom then introduced the class to the art of swordfighting and to the different types of gladiators in the arena. When they were learning about Egypt, she took them to a woman who had been studying hieroglyphs. She taught them how to write their names in Hieroglyphs, what the Egyptians used them for and she gave them a very visual example of how they performed rituals to appease to their gods.
(don't worry, no animals or humans were harmed during this)

So when she announced to the class that this year's subject was going to be the Middle Ages, the class was buzzing in excitement. Most were talking to their friends, guessing what the next special surprise was going to be.
Peter turned to Ned and Michelle.

"What do you guys think?" Ned, who normally didn't like history at all, looked up with a gigantic smile.

"Maybe she's going to teach us about how Roger Bacon, among others, started experimenting with the physical world around them?" MJ, who was not sketching away in her book because she actually liked history, gave a dry laugh.

"Or she teaches us about how the first people that took experiments were executed because it didn't follow the way of the church or because they were accused of Witchcraft?" Ned turned to her, his smile turning half into a grimas.

"Yeah, I forgot for a moment that that happened."

"I'm glad to have reminded you of it." Michelle grinned. "What do you think Peter?" She asked curiously. Peter turned to her with shining eyes.

"I hope.."

"Parker!" Flash interrupted. He took a chair and sat on it backwards as he grinned up at the trio. "I hope you three aren't planning on ditching us all again when Miss Rilestone decided to organise something. You might get all the fun activities scrapped."
Peter winced at the accusation.

"Shut up Flash, confronting us about his now, in class isn't exactly going to do much good either." He murmured.

Flash had been telling the truth. Last year, when they were supposed to go on a class trip to an interactive workshop, there was a huge terrorist attack happening not 2 miles from there. Peter, ofcourse, couldn't ignore it and had ditched the class trip to fight as Spiderman. Ned and MJ had been monitoring the fight and giving him help, and in doing so, they forgot to follow the class so they weren't at the trip either.
Later when the trio joined the class again, Miss Rilestone had told them that if they decided to run of again, she had to inform the headmaster and probably would have been denied any further fieldtrips. The whole class had looked angry at them and the trio had felt awful.

Miss Rilestone interrupted whatever Flash would have said to continue her announcement. Flash glared once more at the trio and moved back to his seat.

"For the last three years that I have taught you, I tried to let you see that there are different ways to look at history, or to experience it. This year, I want you guys to try and make these lessons interesting. I managed to convince the board to give you no examinations... "
The class applauded there greatly. Ned was shaking Peter until the teacher interrupted them again.
