Five months later

"Do I really have to, Dad?"

It was early in the morning and Ayda really just felt like crawling into her bed for some more sleep because in her books, six o'clock in the morning was way too early to be up on a Saturday morning.

"No, you don't. I just dragged you into the middle of the forest because I wanted you to experience the excruciating pain of getting eaten by a bear- of course you have to!"

"Tell me again then? How did I end up with these powers again? Or as you call them 'elemental powers'? And why doesn't mom have 'em?"

"It's like talking to a newborn, I tell you. They look all cute and fluffy but once you do something they don't like, they're deadly. Mother of mercy," Dad mumbled.

"You have the powers because they decided that they wanted to skip my wonderful generation and go to the generation that is slowly killing the planet. That is why I don't have them. I have Creation powers because it got passed down to me from my mother.

Your mother is not an Elemental Master, so she does not have powers. They are called elementals because each power can be derived from different elements throughout the world. And no, I'm not repeating them again."

"So if I'm the elemental 'Master' of Amber," Ayda quoted. "Then in order to do all the kickass power stuff, I gotta what? Touch another master to gain their abilities? Therefore, since I have the Sonic and fog powers, I, the 'Master' of Amber, had to have touched that elemental master at some point in my life. And I'm kinda like God because of your creation powers?"

Sighing, Dad started hitting his head continuously on the tree next to him.

"They're not 'Sonic and fog powers'. They're Speed and Smoke powers.And no you aren't like God."

"Yeah, yeah. Now bring out whatever you have created. I'm ready to kick some ass."

Rolling his eyes, Dad clapped his hands and two satanic terrors appeared.

The first one was semi-human looking, but with red eyes, no nose, and a baleful set of ferocious teeth that could make even Venom quiver in its plasma. The second one was more spirit-like and was teleporting back and forth everywhere. It didn't have any face but had corpulent, skinny arms with pointed fingers that were constantly trying to wrap around Ayda's exposed neck.

Ayda simply snickered. Come on, I could be at home watching SpongeBob. This is child's play.

In a flash, she went up in smoke and using this extra time to her advantage, she sped towards the first spirit from behind. Running up the side of a tree, Ayda jumped at the half demon half humanoid being, aiming for the head.

Having kicked the back of its head successfully, she took that time to teleport using smoke. She went up in smoke to distract the spirit. In her smoke form, she taunted the spirit to rise further up into the trees with her. As if on cue, the morning sun poured in through the clouds and evaporated the spirit.
