Ayda wasn't ready to see her father die, nor was she ready for herself to die.

With its mouth inches away from Devon's head, as if controlled by some invisible force, it punched itself.

And I mean straight up sucker punched itself.

It dropped Devon, who scrambled away, and was lifted into the air by the same invisible force.

Then, it was slammed down onto the floor, facefirst.

Ooooooo... That shit looked like it hurted.

Now, the demon was pissed.

As it was getting off the floor, right in front of it, a tall man with bright orange hair materialized out of thin air.

Ayda's eyeballs felt like they'd popped out of their sockets.

Ok. Who tf is that?

To say she was shocked was an understatement and when she analyzed his face, she froze in awe.

He looked like an angel.

His facial features were sharp, yet extremely soft. With his pointed nose, high cheekbones, and sharp jaw.

Although he was nowhere near smiling at that moment, Ayda could spot faint smile lines, telling her that he was a man that liked to smile a lot.

I bet he'd look so pretty laughing.

He had a slender face to match his body, which was set in a lethal fighting stance, and an aura that seemed to dominate the room.

He held the feel of someone that does not play when angry and this was proven true when Ayda saw how he looked at the beast.

As he stared into the demon's blank eyes, he looked deadly.

Ayda's mysterious savior squinted at the monster, challenging it to charge first.

And that it did.

As it moved forward, angel boy blasted it with a geyser of fire.

A geyser of fire that erupted from his hands.

However, it seemed to absorb the force of the impact rather than burn in the flames.

This scared Ayda.

But what made her panic was the male's next words.

"Shit..."

Accepting that she was gonna die, she closed her eyes and hoped for at least a painless death.

Seconds passed but Ayda kept her eyes shut tight, thinking the demon was delaying on purpose.

Only when she heard a heavy Thump! and felt the door being lifted off her leg did she open her eyes.
