Chapter 6

Zach's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, I groaned and heaved myself out of bed. I shut off the alarm and smiled replaying last nights events. I'm falling for Seth and I know I'm falling hard. I took a shower, brushed my teeth and got ready for school. I went downstairs and greeted my mom giving her a kiss on the cheek and taking an apple and eating it before leaving to go to the bus stop. I knew that Seth and the others had already left because they would usually walk. Dylan and Kai were already waiting at the bus stop. When the bus arrived we hopped on and made our way to the back.

"So that Seth kid...what're we going to do about him today?" Dylan asked.

I felt a twinge of anger in me at the mention of doing anything to him, "Nothing" I muttered.

Kai looked shocked, "And why the hell is it nothing?!?"

"because you don't know what he goes through so just lay off" I said using my sister's words, come to think about it I still don't know what he goes through but I know I'll find out soon enough.

At school classes were boring as hell, I couldn't wait until third period to see Seth. I don't get to see him in the morning and I guess I don't try hard enough to find him.

As I walked into my History class I noticed Seth sitting next to Luke and Joshua. His desk and Joshua's desk were pushed together and they were talking and smiling. The hell? Am I over reacting? Probably. Everyone was looking at me expecting me to say something nasty to him but instead I just took my seat. Dylan sat next to me, he leaned over,

"Dude are you really not going to do anything?" he asked.

I rolled my eyes, "yea I'm not going to bully him and he's my sisters friend he's always at my house especially since he lives next door" I say matter of fact. I looked back at him and our eyes met for about two seconds until he looked away focusing on Joshua again.

I sat silently through out the period. The bell rang for lunch and Seth walked straight past me talking to Joshua, he even left Luke. Wait! Was he blushing? I started feeling jealous but didn't say or do anything. Dylan and I walked to the cafeteria sitting at our usual table. I noticed Seth watching me from where he sat I smiled slightly until I was tackled by a girl, caught off guard.

"Hey babe!" She beamed.

"Hey Lacy what's up?"

She grabbed my face and kissed me hard on the lips she licked my lip asking for entrance but I didn't give it to her so she pulled away and pouted, "c'mon baby let me in" I rolled my eyes and kissed her gently but she deepened the kiss. The way her lips felt against mine just didn't seem right, kissing Seth was better, way better. Why couldn't I be kissing him now? Then I remembered he was watching me before so I pulled away from Lacy.

"Enough, maybe later" I told her.

"Fine" she pouted but then her eyes seemed to sparkle with an idea or something, "So this Seth boy...he lives next door to you right?" I nodded, "so is it true that he's gay?" I nodded again, "I see..."

I looked over at him he was all up under Joshua, was he flirting? I ignored all the gossip and bullshit.

During art our teacher gave us an assignment to work on with partners. Guess who my partner was...Seth! I'm glad I get to work with him on a project it gives me an excuse to have him to myself. We had three weeks to come up with a piece of art work that was incredible and could tell a story something that had meaning. I couldn't wait to talk to him about it. Nah I'm joking just to talk to him. Our teacher told us to get with our partner and start discussing the project for the rest of the period. I smiled at Seth as he made his way over he smiled back and sat next to me.

"So..." he said not looking at me.

"so?" I replied.

His eyes met mine and he was silent for a little then he said, "What do you think we should do for this?"

I shrugged not knowing or caring about the project just glad that I can be near him in school now and just say we are hanging out because of the art project.

He sighed, noticing I wasn't going to say anything on the topic, "Well" he said pulling out a scrap notebook he flipped quickly through the pages skipping all the drawings and stopping when he reached a blank page, "okay I was thinking that we could do a little something like this and paint it and add in whatever ideas you have," he said, taking a pencil and starting to sketch something quickly. When he was done he showed me a small drawing of a cliff with waves crashing and a boy standing at the edge of the cliff looking out at the waves below.

My eyes widened and my mouth fell open a little I looked at him, "That looks amazing!"

He smiled, blushing a little, "it's nothing just a quick sketch.." he said.

I stared at him, "you have some serious talent Seth" his blush darkened.

He whispered, "If you like you can look through the rest of my drawings" I smiled and flipped to the beginning of the notebook.

There were pictures of landscapes that he drew, some pictures were disturbingly violent but some were calm some were doodles and others were just drawings of other things. Then it clicked in my head and I raised an eyebrow, looking at him.

He blushed, "Is this your diary?" I asked shocked.

He nodded shyly, "yeah...instead of using words I use drawings to tell my mood or story, which is how I already knew what I wanted to do for this project because making a story with a picture is basically what I've been doing all my life," he said.

The final bell rang the two of us walked out of class together, I had his book in my hand still looking at some of the pictures. He really is talented the drawings were so detailed I know he worked really hard making this book, the book that it is today. "You really are very talented, I like that about you" I smiled.

"Thanks" he muttered taking back the notebook.

"Hey baby!" I was tackled by Lacy she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me so I kissed back not really wanting to.

Seth cleared his throat and Lacy pulled away and glared at him, "Move along fag nothing to see here get going loser," she huffed.

I saw hurt in his eyes, "Lacy lay off he's waiting for me he's my partner in a project".

She rolled her eyes, "Whatever, call me maybe I can come over tonight" she winked and walked off.

I groaned, "Hell no she cant come over tonight or any night..." my gaze flickered to Seth, "sorry about that..."

He shook his head, "it's fine shes your girlfriend, plus I have to meet up with Josh hes helping catch up in History. See you" he said and took off down the hall in search of Joshua.

I felt a twinge of anger towards Lacy she needs to stop acting like a bitch and trying to get in my pants. I also felt slightly jealous, Seth just ditched me for Joshua...I don't like it. Joshua is weird, when you're near him you get a bad feeling and he's spending time with my Seth. Okay okay he's not mine...yet.
