Chapter 13.

"Hey kiddo." My dad walks into the kitchen as I eat my cereal.
"Hey dad." I answer with my mouth full.
"How was school yesterday? I got home too late and you were asleep."
"Good, we got a new student." I take another bite.
"Yea?"
"Yea, I asked him to sit with me at lunch."
"Good for you." He grabs a bowl for himself.
"Thank you." I proudly say, joking around.
"Where's your brother?"
"Don't know, don't care."

He gives me a dirty look.

"So how's your little boyfriend?" He teases.
"Fiinnnneee dad.." I groan.
"Oh what's wrong, don't like me bugging you about your boyfriend?" He hits my arm.
"Be quiet!" I begin to blush.
"Awwww!!" He says in a white girl voice.
"Go away!" I throw the newspaper on the table at him.
"Don't be rude Kae!" He imitates again.
"Whatever father. I'm hanging out with Jack." I wiggle my eyebrows.
"Don't get pregnant."
"Shut up!" I put my bowl in the sink and throw myself into the couch, texting Jack.

*Hey, wyd today?* I send.

*Missing you😌*

*Aw, let's chill*

*Aight I'll come get you*

*To go where?*

*You'll seeeee.. 👅💦*

*k poopy head*

And with that, I put my phone in my pocket and wait.

A while later, he knocks at the door.

"Come in!" I tell as the door opens and in comes Jack.
"Hey darlin'." He says in a southern accent and sits next to me.
"Where are we going?"
"Come with me." He stands up, taking my hand and leading me out the door.

We enter his car as he drives down the street.

"Where, you butt." I ask for the millionth time.
"Somewhere butt." He keeps a serious face.
"Ooookkkkkkaaaaaayyyyy....." I annoyingly exaggerate.

We finally reach his secret place, which was a candy store a couple towns over.

"This is the biggest candy store in the state!" I state.
"Mhm." He gets out of the car, as do I.
"Why'd you take me here?"
"To get candy." He plainly says.
"Why are you being so nice?" I ask, walking with him on the sidewalk.
"Because I feel bad I was a butt as you call me."
"Noo." I hug him by the side as we walk.
"Yesss.." He rubs the top of my head.
"After loading up on candy we're going to that pretty boutique to try on dresses." He smiles.
"You too?" I tease.
"Mhm." He chuckles as we enter the candy shop.

"Hello, welcome to the candy shop, biggest in the state in fact." He smiles.
"Are you looking for something in particular or just shopping?"
"Just looking." Jack says as the guy disappears through a door.

"What do you want?" He asks.
"I don't know, skittles or something." I say.
"Skittles? Get one of everything, or two I don't care." He jokes.
"Shut up!" I hit his chest as I look at the candy.

We finally pick out three bags of candy each and leave, putting them in the car.

"Now to ze' boutique." He says in a French accent.

We enter the fancy boutique as the lady snootily greets us.

"Can we, or her, try stuff on?" Jack asks.
"Yes, right this way." She leads us to the dressing room.
"Thanks." I say as she walks away.
"Pick out some dresses."
"Mk." I agree and pick out some.

I bring a couple of pretty dresses to dressing room as Jack smiles.

"What?" I ask as he chuckles.
"Those are cute." He says.
"What you butt!" I hit him as one dress falls.
"Here." He picks it up.
"Shank you." I say and go into the dressing room.

I come out in every dress as he whistles and stares me up and down.

"What!" I giggle.
"You look cute." He smiles his big grin, which is without braces now.
"Tank you sir." I smile.

After showing him all of them and us goofing around, getting kicked out, we head to the car.

"Excited for your candy?" He starts the car, driving into the road.
"Yes!" I say excitedly.

We get to his house as we go inside and up to his room.

"What are we doing?" I ask.
"Watching a movie."
"Okay." I put my candy on the bed as he does too.

We eat a bunch of candy as we watch This Is The End.

"James Franco is hot." I state.
"What?!" He turns to me.
"He is." I giggle.
"You're being a turd." He pouts.
"Oh stop! You're adorable." I kiss his cheek.
"So are you babe." He kisses my nose.
"I love you." I blush.
"I love you more."
"I do!" I hit him.
"More than James Franco?"
"Yes." I laugh.

He kisses my cheek again, as I begin to kiss him. I lean my head on his chest, falling asleep.
