[shifting into third person pov]

Christmas has passed, no major crimes. Last year was chaotic, Jellal came home for Christmas with bruises and cuts. Boy, that was some explaining.

[iphone alarm ringtone]
Jellal rolls over, groaning. He turns his alarm off, picking his iPhone XR to check the time. It's 6:30 and he's not even out of bed? Gee. He quickly puts some clothes on and tucks his suit in his backpack. He hastily goes through his morning routine then rushes out the door, "Bye aunt Mavis, love you!" He rolls his skateboard across the sidewalk and picks up speed.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Natsu? Just stop embarrassing me." Lucy whines and pushes Natsu off of her. He pouts and hugs her tightly when she's not expecting it. Jellal walks by, skateboard in hand, listening in. He smirks, 'totally dating.' he would think. Erik walks up to Jellal, punching his shoulder lightly. "Wassup, man. We didn't link over break. What were you doing the entire time?" Jellal laughs and shrugs, looking away. "Oh y'know, just working on yearbook and touching up photos. And uh, helping aunt Mavis." Erik smacks his lips, rolling his eyes. "Yadda, yadda. Always excuses." They beginning walking down the hall, 5 minutes before class starts. "You're oddly busy for someone like you." Jellal looked at Erik with confusion, kind of offended. "Someone like me? Okay tough guy." Jellal would start listing things, counting on his fingers, "I happen to be practicing skateboarding, taking care of yearbook practically by myself since the team doesn't do much, interning for Fairy Corp., running errands—" Jellal is interrupted by Erik who stops in front of him, eyes wide. "You intern for Fairy Corp.? No way dude! Tell me all about it." Jellal bit his lip and shook his head. "I can't reveal any details. Fairy Corp. rules" Jellal moves around him and Erik turned to watch him walking backwards with a smirk. Jellal hears the first bell and hurries to class.

Class begins, when Laxus and Sting walk in late. They've both got some kind of smug look plastered on their face. Wonder which girls they boned over break to make them like that. Jellal leans back in his chair, arms crossed and listening to the lecture. He hears Laxus a few seats behind him whispering to Erza. Jellal keeps staring ahead but listening in.
"You're way too pretty of a girl to be so involved in her studies," Laxus would lean in towards her, attempting to flirt. "Your point?" she responds, her eyes not leaving the textbook. "Well I'm just sayin', you're hot enough to even hook up with me. What ya say?" He's grinning, being VERY cocky. Erza turns to look at him and fake smiles, "And I'm just saying that you're a narcissistic asswipe who probably shouldn't think with his dick," she turns back to her textbook, satisfied with her comeback. Sting blinks, and purses his lips, trying his best not to let out a laugh. Jellal couldn't help but let out a chuckle. He quickly covers his mouth and coughs.
Laxus cocks a brow, and looks at Jellal now. "What's so funny?" The teacher turns toward the class and shushes him, turning back to the whiteboard. "Oh, nothing really." Jellal really shouldn't go much further than that. Laxus leans back in his chair, scolding the back of Jellal. He can feel him looking at him, but keeps his focus on class. Sting nudged Laxus and gives him some attitude, "Why you gotta start problems, man." Laxus shakes him away and huffs.

[riiiiiing]

Jellal grabs his things and leaves the classroom. He puts his earbuds in and shuffles his playlist. ["Fast" by Juice Wrld plays] He walks down the hall, bobbing his head to the beats. A girl bumps into him and her stuff scatters across the floor. Jellal turns around and helps her gather her things. "Sorry about that.." A familiar sweet voice would say. He blinks and shakes his head awkwardly, "Oh, uh.. no it's alright." He gets up and scratches the back of his neck and watches her stand up, holding her things. "Have we met?" She would ask as if there was something familiar about me. "No, we haven't. But I know your name... if that's not weird." Jellal looks away and grits his teeth. Being so awkward. "Really? I'm not really known around here," the girl looked at Jellal as if she were feeling special now. "I wouldn't say that. I, uh... I know your name because I work on yearbook," Jellal flashed a nervous smile and tapped his foot lightly. She stares for a moment, then her face lights up as she remembers, "You okay there, Jellal?" she asked with a laugh. His eyes went wide, furrowing his eyebrows and chuckling, "So you know my name, Yukino?" She would smile sweetly and start walking off slowly, "Not really, but it just came to me. You get in trouble a lot." Yukino waved and continued walking to her next class. He waved back and put his earbuds back in with a smile.

[first person pov]
I probably seem familiar to her because I saved her life before. Maybe it's the voice? Hopefully she doesn't know my big ass secret. Anyway, she nearly got hit by a bus before and I swooped in to save her. No biggie.
