Natsu swung his arm around Jellal and the other around Gray. They were all sweaty and beat from try outs. "He's not too bad," Natsu panted and smiled at Jellal, "I think he'll make the team." Gajeel finally spoke, "Yea, he's got some skill." Jellal looked at Gajeel and felt pretty special to be getting a compliment from him. Sting ran up to them and laughed, "Boy that was a work out." Gray eyed him and smirked, "That was a workout? That's why you get benched on game days." They all laughed and Sting huffed. Laxus walked behind them, watching the back of Jellal, "Y'know, you're a pretty nice guy, Jellal." Natsu turned around and rolled his eyes, "We've been saying that, Laxus. Keep up." Laxus scolded him, "Boys, I'm having a party at my house Friday night. Parents are away again. Jellal, you coming?" Jellal looked at Natsu who winked, then at Laxus, "Hell yeah." Jellal smiled and grabbed his things, waving to his new friends. "Cya," he grinned then headed home.

Jellal held onto the handle on the train, his body swaying from the unsteady movement of the train. He was still in his gym clothes, his head down and eyes closed. The train screeches, coming to a halt. This is his stop. Jellal opens his eyes and quickly gets off and climbs the steps out of the subway. He's feeling on edge. It feels like he's been followed for quite some time. Jellal keeps an eye out, his senses enhanced. He moves fast, cutting through alley ways and into an abandoned building to make the follower lose him. He's gotten just enough time to change into his suit. He puts his backpack on and pulls his mask over his head. He pops his head out of the broken doorway, shooting a web at the top of the building next to the one he's in. Flinging upward, he sticks a landing on top and looks around. Something moves fast on a building near east. It's shady here, all these buildings have been long abandoned. Jellal keeps a low profile, swinging to where he saw whatever it was. He peers down and sees a hooded figure holding a man by his throat up against the brick wall, "Hand over all your shit," he shouted at the scared man. Without hesitation, Jellal jumps down and shoots a web at their free hand, yanking them to the side. They lose their grip on the man and he coughs, gasping for air. He's scurrying away, watching Spider-man and the unknown criminal. With a closer look, the newly identified hooded man grabs Jellal by his wrist, pulling him away. Jellal flips and slides underneath them, webbing their feet together. They fall to their knees, breaking their fall with their hands. Jellal gets up, and steps on their back, "Who are you?" he yells. The hooded man grunts, trying to get up. The man who was assaulted is long gone now, so it's just the two of them in the dark. A flickering light at the end of Barron street is the only other thing keeping the street illuminated, the moonlight doing the most. Jellal puts more pressure on their back with his foot. They finally speak, "Please.. you can arrest me, just don't hurt me anymore." Jellal removes his foot and grabs him by his hood, pulling him up. Keeping his grip, he shoots a web at his chest with his other hand, causing the man to hit the wall, stuck there. Jellal shoots a few more webs at his hands, sticking him against the wall to secure him. He appears to be blond, middle aged. Jellal walks up to him, getting in his face, "Let me ask again, who are you? And why were you following me before?" The man winces and shouts in fear, "I'm Terry Newman..! And I..I wasn't following you..! I don't know what you're talking about.." Jellal furrows his eyebrows, and looks around the empty street. He looks back at the man and starts pocketing him. "H-Hey what are you doing..?!" he shouts, getting angry. Jellal shoots a web at his mouth and finally finds his phone in his back pocket. He dials 911, "Barron Street, attempted robbery." Jellal puts his phone in the pocket of his hoodie and pats it, "Don't worry, your ride will be here soon." The man is shouting curses, but it's muffled from the webs. Jellal waves, shooting a web to swing away from the scene. He sits at the top of the building, sirens in the distance making their way to Barron Street. He gazes at the city, the dark night being lit up by colorful led signs and light posts. Jellal wonders who he sensed near him earlier and what moved so fast on that building. Whoever it was knows his true identity. That isn't good at all, so his main priority now is to eliminate them from the city. He's hoping he'll catch them soon, it's crucial that his secret doesn't get out.

Jellal scouted the city for another 30 minutes before he headed home. He made sure to change back to his clothes before entering the front door.
"How was basketball try outs?" aunt Mavis asked, sitting on the couch watching her favorite TV show. Jellal smiled and went to the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge, "I think it went well. I made some new friends today." Mavis' face lit up and she put her hands together, "Really? That's great, y'know this is good for you. I want you to be more social." Jellal laughed lightly and rolled his eyes, "Yea sure." He started to eat leftover pasta and she just huffed before looking back at her show. "Oh, something came in the mail for you. It's on your desk." Jellal looked up from his food and furrowed his eyebrows, "Alright thanks."

He walked upstairs and into his room, setting his backpack down beside his bed. He picked up the envelope and squinted. It was another letter from Fairy Corp. He opened it and skimmed through it, then tossed it back on his desk. The CEO wants to talk to him about his research again. They're getting too close to his research and will most likely use it for their own benefit. Jellal signs and rubs his eyes, he's tired as hell. He changes his clothes and does his nightly routine before falling onto his bed, passing out instantly.
