Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5

LUKE’S P.O.V

I wait at the door for Mackenzie.

She opens the door and her face fell.

“Um, hi.” She says Looking uncomfortable. I look over her shoulder and see Calum and Ashton in the living room.

“Can I come in?” I gesture to the living room with my hands.

She goes deadpan and looks up at me.

“Sorry, Calum’s already staying over.”  She turns away and shuts the door. I walk to the park and sit on the park bench. It starts to rain. And I know how cliché it sounds but the weather literally reflected my mood.

 

MACKENZIES P.O.V

Ashton and Calum came over a few minutes before Luke showed up. They told me about what happened, and how Luke had chosen Molly over me. God that hurt. We watched some movies and played FIFA. Calum ordered Pizza and we sat on the floor eating. We eat way too much pizza. They left at 4.00 to go to band practise. They hugged me goodbye and as soon as soon as the door shut the tears opened up. I went up to my room and had a shower. I was shaving and I cut myself by accident. It hurt like hell but it made me feel better. I stood in the shower for what felt like forever. Staring down at my wrist as I told myself why I was doing this to myself. “Luke picked Molly over me.” I say to myself and then slice my wrist with the razor. “Luke lied to me.” I pull the razor across my wrist again. “Luke lied to me, for Molly.” That hurt the most. I started crying again as I got out of the shower. I heard a knock on the door and freaked out. I quickly got dressed; I threw on my pyjama shorts and one of Luke’s hoodies. It made me feel a little bit better. I ran down the stairs and opened the front door.

 

LUKE’S P.O.V

Mackenzie opened the door and her face fell. She looked extremely cute. She was wearing pyjama shorts that read Bite Me on the back and MY hoodie. I smiled as she stood there, unimpressed.

“Hey.” I smile, breaking the silence. She begins to shut the door, so I slip inside. She turns around and looks at me. I can tell she’s about to cry so I pull her in for a hug and she cries into my shoulder for what feels like forever. But I’m not complaining. She calmed down and walked upstairs. I follow her to her room and sit next to her on her bed. She looks over at me and my smile fades.

MACKENZIE’S P.O.V

“Hey.” He smiles. I can’t believe he is here. I start to shut the door but Luke slips through the door and I turn around to face him. I don’t even know what I should be feeling right now. I start to cry and Luke pulls me into a hug.  We stay there for a while, until I pull away from him and walk upstairs. He follows me and sits on my bed. And that is when I realise that I love him. And that I never want to see his face again.

I look up at Luke and his smile fades. Good. “Get out!” I yell. “Get out, Get out, Get out.” I say collapsing into tears again. I never want to see him again.

LUKE’S P.O.V

“Get out, Get out, Get out.” She says before bursting into tears again. I sit on the bed, not sure if I should hug her or not, considering she just told me to leave, but I can’t leave her like this. Who knows what she would do. She just stands there as she cries. And that’s when I see it. Blood.
