Kida-Rose POV

I always wondered what it was like to stare down the eyes of death. If I would be terrified. If I would be sobbing and begging for my life. But in that very moment the only thing I could feel was numbness. I could hear my heart hammering inside my chest, blood rushing through my body at ten fold as some kind of adrenaline coursed through my body.

The numbness slowly disappeared in its place came fear as my body began shaking and my fingers trembled as I clenched my fists, shutting my eyes in hopes that this was all some type of sick dream. There was a ringing in my ear it slowly fazed out and was replaced by the constant rattling of the cell door with every slam Cerberus made against it.

In that very moment I accepted my fate. I'd lived a hard but happy life and got to experience a love like no other from my soulmate, my best friend, my family and all and all everyone in my life and for that I am so fucking thankful.

"Babygirl focus" a voice sounded in my ear and I smiled at the familiar sound. Arson, I could recognise that voice anywhere. It wasn't it's usually dominating tone. He sounded scared and vulnerable which shocked me but didn't erase the smile from my face regardless.

"Babygirl I need you to focus on that adrenaline. You can get through this. We can get through this, you're not dying today, not on my watch. Focus!" My eyes snapped open and suddenly I was face to face with the three headed beast, it's disgusting breath right in my face and all six of its eyes zeroed in on me.

The more my heart hammered in my chest, the more I felt myself shake. The more raged consumed me and the more the urge to scream came. In seconds I was letting out shallow breathes as my body heat rose and rose like someone was poking at the fire inside me.

"Let it out Kida" Delaney's voice echoed in my head over and over again until like a switch I let out a loud scream. A bright light shone from me as I let out a loud screech, and with one harsh swipe ripped my chained wrists from its restraints.

I shot up with the anger of Hades brewing inside me as I grabbed the mangy mutt by its collar and with a new found strength slammed it's body against the wall. Cerberus simply whimpered, shaking it off and lunging for me but I didn't flinch nor move.

I slowly clenched my fist watching as line of roots shot up from the ground, large thorns adorned the plants as it wrapped itself around Cerberus slowly forcing it to the ground. You could visibly see the large thistles embedding themselves into the dogs skin as streams of dark crimson poured from the wounds staining the floor. Until Cerberus was nothing but a whimpering mess of roots.

Thundering footsteps came towards the cell and I growled, flicking my wrists once watching as more roots appeared effortless wrapping themselves around the guards that tried to rush into the small space. You could hear the sounds of bones snapping, screaming and skin tearing but I really could care less at this point.

I could feel myself calming down slowly, as my raging breathing came to a stop and I was taking even breathes. My body heat slowly declined until I couldn't hear my heartbeat in my ears anymore. I took in my surroundings, the injured men who were still alive looked at me with nothing but fear in their eyes small the dead ones were surrounded by pools of blood. I opened my fist watching as he roots withered away as if they weren't there at all and I looked at Dehlaney in shock.

"Wha-What just happened? What's happening to me?" I stared at my hands, watching them shake as tears brimmed in my eyes. I caught a glimpse of myself in a pool of blood seeing my eyes weren't their usual chocolate brown but instead a terrifying milky colour.

"Dehlaney what's happening to me?" Suddenly it felt like someone was sticking a thousand needles into my skin. I started hyperventilating as it slowly set in what had really just happened and what I really just did.

"Kida, calm down" Dehlaney tried to come closer to me but I shook my head no, backing away from her.

"Don't come near me! I don't want to hurt you. Just stay away"

"Stay away!" I screamed at her when she tried to come closer to me, backing up as much as I could until I tripped over something falling right on my ass. I screamed again when I saw the red liquid I had fallen into, staring into the cold dead eyes of one of the guards I had murdered in cold blood.

"Kida we have to go before more of the guards come. You're not going to hurt me, just give me your hand" I stared at Delaney's hand with nothing but doubt in my mind, but took it regardless. She didn't care about the blood as she pulled me to her chest letting me sob as hard as I pleased.

"We have to go now" I sniffled, pulling away as Dehlaney spoke, nodding my head. We didn't have time for me to be a little pussy I'll cry when we get back to the castle that's all.

"How are we going to get out of here?" Dehlaney looked at me then at Cerberus who seems to have healed and was looking at me like it was its new master and I looked at Dehlaney shaking my head furiously.

"I'm not getting on that thing! If I fall off of him I'll die by either broken everything or being trampled. I just avoided dying by almost killing it now you want me to ride it!" She had to be loko in her cabasa if she thought I was going anywhere near that three headed monster.

"We don't have a choice Kida! You do realise that Kendra is probably in your body right now rubbing all up on your mate right? He's probably make her scream as much as he makes you scream cause he thinks it's you. Can you really stand the thought of that?" Dehlaney smirked at me as if she knew she'd hit a nerve. Which she did.

"You're taunting me"

"No I'm motivating you! Jezebel and Kendra have done everything in their power to try and rip Sinclair away from you like they ripped me from Edgar. Are you really going to let that happen? Are you going to let them take away your life like they did me?"

"Fuck no!"

"Then get on the fucking thing and ride it" (A/N HEHEHE)

I rolled my eyes at her choice of wording. It's cause the author is a little nasty, but took a deep breath slowly stepping towards Cerberus who had nuzzled himself into a little corner. He better not bite my hand off cause I'll be very pressed.

The closer I got to him, the more he whimpered until finally I was petting one of its heads. He sunk deeper into my hand and I cracked a smile, scratching under the left ones head as the middle one licked my face.

"Who's a good boy?" I giggled when all of their ears perked up.

"Let's go"
