Kida-Rose POV

Days. We'd been going non stop for days and the path seemed to strength on for centuries. I was all the same. Everything was just dead and dreary, there were what looked like ghouls or zombies just dragging along, some didn't even spare us a glance.

The sky was overcast with clouds and nothing but torches with weird green fire lit the road we were on. All the energy I had had before seemed to vanish and the only thing I wanted to do was sleep but I couldn't for the life of me close my eyes. Every time I did I'd see those dead guards staring back at me and I'm positive that I look exactly like those ghouls we're passing.

"We're here" I looked up through hooded eyes to see a gate of some sort. It was lit by that same green fire and covered with ash for some reason. A statue of Cerberus stood on either side of the iron expanse and the only thing going through my mind was...how the fuck are we going to open that.

"Anyone who physically touches the gate gets burned to ash. That's why it's covered in ash" oh well that's reassuring.

"So...uh...how are we going to open the gates without touching it? Can Cerberus open the gate?" As if on cue Cerberus whimpered hiding behind me like a scared little puppy. So Cerberus can't open the gates to Cerberus' prison? That makes so much sense.

"Only someone of royalty can open the gate. You've just transitioned into royal blood so that means you." Dehlaney looked at me over her shoulder and looked behind me to make sure she was actually talking to me.

"Oh come on! I just killed like ten guards! I haven't slept in days! I've been riding a three headed dog! And I'm stuck in this skinny ass body! Every time I sit it's just hip bone and I'm really- ugh!"

"Kida! This isn't the time to have a mental breakdown" Dehlaney started, staring at me with a disappointed look and it only seemed to frustrate me more. Suddenly tears started streaming down my face.

"Is all this bullshit even worth it? Sinclair is probably out there loving Kendra in my body. That's probably all he's ever loved my body. He's never loved me and I'm going through all this fuckery for him" I wrapped my arms around myself not caring as the ground started to shake and my hands started trembling.

"Why are you so fucking emotional all of a sudden?!" Dehlaney flared her arms in the air screaming at me and it only made me sob harder.

"You know Sinclair loves you. He'd go to the ends of the earth for Kida. Arson has already figured shit out Sinclair is just slow as hell but he'll come around. We're going to get through this, but you need to stop being a little pussy first"

"Girl fuck you"

"Yeah, yeah we know you want a piece of this ass" Dehlaney smacked Jezebel's very flat ass, shaking what her mama didn't give her and I couldn't help but crack a smile. She started doing body rolls and dancing around like she was crazy. She got a little cake actually.

I wiped my face, even though I knew very well that I looked a mess regardless, before taking a deep breath and raising both my arms towards the gate. I closed my eyes and thought about what I wanted to happen.

"Kida you look constipated" I glared at Dehlaney who was snickering her ass off.

"I'm trying here. I don't know what I'm doing you know. Back there I was hyped up on adrenaline and about to shit my pants from fear"

"Just remember that feeling and harness the energy. Let it start in your stomach and come up to your chest then let it out"

I nodded, pivoting my feet and closing my eyes again. I let the memories from the cell rush through my mind as my heart started hammering in my chest, the sound echoing in my ears.

I could feel the ground shaking and my hands trembling but I harnessed the feelings until my eyes snapped open and I pushed the force inside my forward. I smiled when I saw the roots shoot up from the ground, shooting forward, coiling themselves around the gate.

The green flames warped around the roots but the more the roots burned, the more grew. I yanked my arms forward as if I was pulling something and screamed when the entire gate came flying back.

"Kida I told you to open the gate not completely destroy the gate!" I looked just as shooketh as Dehlaney did. Well she-it.

"Well I did open the gate. Technically" I sent her a nervous smile but she barely acknowledged me as she grabbed my arm hearing Cerberus' whimpering, seeing as the place was shaking.

"What's happening?!"

"You just opened the gates of a prison Kida! The things inside it want to come out and Hades isn't going to let that happen" I held onto one of Cerberus' collars as he bolted out of the gates, just as there was a crash and a dust bellowed not an inch behind us as the entire opening came tumbling down into a pile of nothing.

"That was pretty cool though you can't even lie." I winced when Dehlaney flicked my forehead. Ouch.

We threaded on for hours, with me and Dehlaney have conversation to past the time. She kinda reminded me of Anna when she wasn't all serious and murderous. I wonder if Andre and Anna are okay. Has my mom visited me? My school is probably all the way ready to expel my ass.

"A week down here in a day up there. No one things you're missing, everyone including your school thinks you've boo'd up with Sinclair on vacation"

"Well this is one sucky vacation." Dehlaney snickered, flashing me a smile as we came to an open door of some sort with blinding light emitting from it. We weren't that close to it but I still had to shield my eyes.

"Once we go through there we'll be back in the Lust Kingdom" I gulped but nodded, getting nervous the closer we got. I shut my eyes tight when we stepped through, there was a heat but it only lasted a second before it was over, then all I could hear was bustling.

My eyes opened and we seemed to be in a little village of some sort, stepping out from a clump of trees. I felt something on my leg and mentally awwed at the little puppy Cereus at my feet. His big red eyes were so innocent, all six of them. I scooped him up and he liked my face. I'm keeping him, forever.

Everyone seemed to be bustling around in excitement although I couldn't help but notice the people pointing and whispering as we walked by, that's when I caught a glimpse of the flyer on the ground.

"I know Kendra whatever the fuck her last name has got me all the way motherfucking messed up!, if she thinks she's going to marry my mate. She has to be special in her head or something because she cannot and I can't stress this enough can not be serious"

"Kida pay attention" I looked up from my glaring at the paper to see Dehlaney and I were surrounded by guards, swords drawn ready to attack.

"Well fuck"
