Chapter 14: Part of the journey is the end

Don't let the title fool you. I'm not ending a character's life. Maybe.

Also, i actually forgot that i need to end this fanfic. So, this will be a rather short chapter. Nothing long and complicated cuz i can't sustain this fanfic longer. I have zero experiences with relationships therefore i have zero stories for relationships. Ok enjoy.

*Jaiden's POV*

I was lying on the hospital bed, trying to draw a bit to get used to animating again, when the nurse that was taking care of me received a call, turned to look at me, and ran away. I hear chaotic chattering right outside my hospital room.

*Devon's POV*

With James' life at risk, i don't know if being honest or lying is better now. If i tell Jaiden, she will most-likely breakdown, which is not good at all including the fact that she is pregnant.

If i lie though, chances are that i will ruin their relationship, and ruin her trust on me.

Devon: Rebecca, Tim, Adam, we need to talk.
Rebecca: yeah,... how are we going to tell Jaiden this?
Tim: i don't know. But, maybe depending on fate. Let's just hope that James is ok.
Rebecca: also, why did James do that? Jaiden is only recovering. It's not like someone is dying.
Adam: i mean, Jaiden took the knife for him when he was fighting the thief, which is weird how she actually did that. But, James probably felt guilty to the point where he would take a knife to himself.
Doctor: Adam, Rebecca, others... we need you in here.

*in the emergency room*

Heart monitor: peep peep peeep peeeeep peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep...
???: 200 ... and clear
*pump*
???: again! 250... and clear
*James body bounces up again*
Heart monitor: ... peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep peeeeep peeeeeeeep peeeep peep peep peep peep peep...

*18 years later.

Jaiden: i can't believe our daughter is going to college already!
James: Amanda! Are you ready?
Amanda: yeah dad!
Jaiden: *holds Amanda's shoulders* Amanda, if anything goes wrong, if you start doubting yourself, if you feel anything bad about yourself, tell us. I don't wan you to go through what i had experienced. Not again, ok?
Amanda: sure mom. I will. Love you!
James: love you too honey!

*Amanda leaves for college*
Jaiden: it's funny that our daughter decided to attend college fully.
James: said a college dropout.
Jaiden: you too.
