The train rattled on its tracks as the seemingly normal people continued with their daily lives, laughing as they spoke with perhaps their lover or the people who were friends and family. A little girl scribbled in her notebook, which lay on top of her thighs in the as she looked out into the dimly lit subway. Her father, most likely, watched her with a loving smile.
You sat in a chair, quietly observing everyone and everything. If there was one thing you knew, it was that where ever you went, trouble was soon to follow. Looking over at an average-looking female with dark blue-violet hair with a golden butterfly pin in her hair, you watched as she rubbed her comrade's leg.
The comrade in question had choppy white hair. Both of them wore white button-up shirts with black ties. You sighed, dragging your sight from the pair. The bell for announcements sounded.
"Uhh... Testing, testing. This is your conductor speaking. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will now be conducting a physics experiment. The topic: Explosive reactions and sensory response of a non-inertial reference frame. We thank all of you lovely passengers for being part of this experiment." The 'conductor' paused, allowing the words to be taken in. You tsked. "So, without further ado, sit back and enjoy!"
An explosion sounded in the distance, which made you frown. "I'm guessing that one killed two or three of you. But that's nothing in comparison for what we've got in store for you next~! We've rigged enough explosives in the front and back cars to blow everyone sky-high! Can you hear me, test subject Atsushi?" A pause sounded. "Unless you surrender yourself, all of these people, the innocents, will meet a glorious and untimely death." The male went on.
The pair of people you had observed stood, mentioning their options. You sighed, glad that the 'test subject' wasn't you. After all, your skills would be useful to any desperate organization.
"Hey, you. The chick in black," The woman with a butterfly pin spoke to you directly, causing you to look up with lips parted in confusion. "I'm going to have to ask you to move to the middle car if you can. If that's not possible, then please stay as close to it as possible." She ordered her blue skirt bouncing as she grabbed her leather case.
"Of course. Thank you for taking control of the situation." You agreed silently, picking up the book at your side. When you got to the central car, it was chaos. Closing your eyes, you listened to the near-by sounds of explosions, sickened. Soon enough, the noise calmed.
"Mommy! People are flying!" A child cried out. You looked out just as a bomb exploded, obstructing your view.

The young girl felt strong but delicate arms wrap around her, pulling her into something warm and soft. She soon knew that this was the stranger's chest. The target's chest. Her blue eyes widened in surprise as they hit the water, the were-tiger receiving the whole blow in the last second.
He had passed out on impact. Kyoka gasped, noticing that the target had started to drift downwards. She swam downwards, grabbing the edge of his blood-stained shirt. The blood-stains that she had caused.
After a good grip was secured, the two young personages surfaced on the river, breathing heavily. She kept a grip on both the older male and her beloved cellphone. Looking around, the young blue-haired girl frantically tried to fight to shore.
"Let go, child. I'll lead him to shore," A feminine voice cut through the confusion of what had happened. A soft-looking h/c woman was floating beside her, smiling as she took the heavy load known as Atsushi Nakajima. The woman had better control over the 170 CM gifted. The two females kicked to shore.
After a little, Kyoka felt her shock pull her under, into unconsciousness. The mysterious woman wrapped an arm around Kyoka's own, pulling both people onto the shore. The woman smiled, her clothes dripping water. A beeping signal was sent from the young girl's phone.
"Kyoka? Were you successful?" Asked a deep voice. Y/n froze, listening to the voice. "...It seems there is no answer," The deep-voiced personage commented after a while. By the time he had said this, L/n Y/n was gone, her kindness soon to be forgotten.

You ran towards your boss' favorite coffee shop, panting. The excitement of the train was sure to cause delay, and your wet clothes were not helping. Luckily, the run had mostly dried them up, causing no suspicions to rise as you grabbed your phone, which you had left in your bag, and called.
"Hello, Sir."
"Why are you late, L/n?"
"Ah. I got mixed up in the confusion of a bombing on my train," you answered quietly, slipping the orders for your boss' latest caffeine addiction onto the counter, along with a request for a [favorite pastry] for yourself.
"If this is true, do not answer any questions that you are asked. You are part of my company, and therefore I won't stand for your recount of the incident. As soon as you get back, I want a full report, understood?" You hummed confirmation, now outside with your load. Hopping into a taxi, you silently watched the glittering sea.
It was evening by the time you reentered the building, handing your boss his favorite heart attack in a cup at the moment. He started telling you what had happened while you were gone, you writing down every new project for the company.
The company was a newspaper one. Considering your life, this was your perfect position. This was the perfect way to be normal. The perfect way to escape.

It had been a couple of days since the train incident, and the press was as busy as always. You were picking up street leads today about the recent kidnapping, of which was linked with the Armed Detective Agency (ADA).
Which meant someone thought they were dirty. And so you were charged with finding out about what was going on. Of course, everyone knew that the ADA and the Port Mafia had never always seen eye-to-eye. And it was a good bet that the two organizations were fighting each other once again.
You sighed, looking over at your new charge, Lilith. From Europe, she was studying how different presses did things. "Look, Lilith. This city is dangerous. You never go out alone, especially at night. I'm sure our President told you this already, but I'll tell you again. The Port Mafia is willing to use any force necessary to gain their target. The more people you're with, the less likely you are to piss off anyone and become one of the Mafia's wanted."
"Yes, I understand. I will be careful. However, I hear that you go out at night often. Why are you being controversial?" Lillith agreed, nodding. You smiled fakely.
"Oh, I just like taking strolls around my neighborhood during the night," You answered. The answer seemed to satisfy the young woman, and she left to go ask some questions. Sighing, you closed your eyes.
It was too bad that you couldn't escape this hell-hole known as Yokohama.
