***MELISSA's POV***

"Cornelius? Cornelius!" I wailed as I found my husband on the floor, mumbling something I could not put out and his favourite wine glass in his hand half-empty.

“Your Majesty! You shouldn't be looking like this. Get a grip!" I lectured, heaving him up.

He toddled his head like he had a spring for a neck. He shoved my arm away and staggered for the window raising his glass "Melissa, it is you who needs to get a grip! HA-HA!  How could you be so calm when the entire kingdom is in danger? You should start to enjoy yourself! Drink with me, my love! And we shall die in each other's arms - but filled!" He groaned, his words barely coming off his tongue.

"I cannot! I know the situation very well and let me tell you this is not the time to be waving your cup around! We need to find them!" I cried as I reminded him of our lost angels: Annastasia and Arlenellya.

He turned his head and looked at me as if I've gone mad, but really, he was the one who looked mad.

"You're the most powerful and influential king in all the 18 realms! You should be able to find them! They might be labelled traitors in the eyes of the destinies, but they're still our children!" I yelled making an effort to put as much emotion and sincerity into my words as tears started forming in my eyes.

Then suddenly a mist of some sort found its way to the tiny hatch on the bottom of the window and managed to get in. It wasn't a trail of smoke since it was packed together and it brought the smell of sunlight, flowers, and rain into the palace.

I started to panic as the mist got closer to the floor. I tried to grab my husband, but he was laid on the floor facing it- bowing to the mist. I knew what this is. And it is not good.

"The Destinies!" I gasped

One fine giggle hit the atmosphere. But the voice was so soft that it sounded like bubbles popping.

"Get up Cornelius, you sad excuse for a spell!" One of them spat.

As I slowly rose from my bow, I halted when I saw from the corner of my eye one of the guards dissolving to dust after the mist had cleared and showed the destinies faces.

But Cornelius did as he was told; he stood- eyes closed.

"Open your eyes nut job and pick up your spouse," Said the one in green, I observed as I slowly got to my feet. She looked like a woman in her mid-thirties, but beautiful nonetheless. "We have something we have to discuss” She grinned grimly.
