Feena's POV
As soon as we arrived back at Mr. Rivera's office building he went straight to his office leaving me without any instruction and confused on what to do next.
I walked into my office and got on my computer checking my emails. On my recents was an email from Mr. Rivera. I clicked on it and it opened up to a list of instruction of things I need to do today. The list filled up the computer screen and my eyes widened. If I was going to finish I needed to start right this second. The first objective on the list was to go to a guy's office named Mr. Carter and pick up a file.
I stood up and walked out of my office to the receptionist area on this floor.
"Um, excuse me?"
The women at the desk looked up with her eyebrows raised.
"Yes?"
"I-I am looking for Mr. Carter's office."
"He is on floor number 45. Just ask the receptionist on that floor and she will direct you the rest of the way to his office."
"Okay. Th-Thank you!"
The woman just nodded in response. I turned around and walked to the elevator and pressing floor 45. The elevator slowed to a stop and I stepped out.
I looked around the floor and spotted the receptionist desk right outside the elevator. The woman sitting behind looked much calmer and seemed to have an almost permanent smile resting on her face.
"I-I am sorry to bother you, b-but do you know where Mr. Carter's office is?"
The woman looked up at me and smiled even wider. "Of course! Why don't you follow me." She exited her desk and I follow suit. She was quite tall and walked quickly and professionally. I stumbled behind her almost having to run to keep up with her fast pace.
"So, what's your name?" She asked.
"Mrs. Lee b-but you can call me Feena. I-I work for Mr. Rivera as his P.A."
"Oh my gosh! Your his new P.A.? I have heard so much about you. You are so adorable too!" Her excited yell scared me. I just smiled nicely and nodded my head.
Suddenly she stopped and I was grateful that I was able to catch my breath.
"This is his office. If you ever need anything just let me know. I'm Mrs. Cohn and I work as a receptionist here on the treasurers floor. Feel free to call me Anne though."
"O-okay. Thank you!" I gave her a grateful smile as she turned around and walked away. I let out a breath and turned to face the door to the office. I softly knocked on it and low and behold the guy I had met before I got Mr. Rivera's coffee opened up.
"Well if it isn't Mrs. Lee. Already missing me?" I felt my face burn.
"Uh-uh, I-I-"
"Come in and sit down."
"W-well that won't b-be necessary. I-I um just came to grab some files for Mr. Rivera."
"Mr. Rivera huh? He's to chicken to come visit me himself that he had to send his little assistant. No worries though! I will deliver the files to him myself!" He announced.
I stood at the door as he walked back into his office and grabbed a small stack of files.
"Onward!" He pointed to the elevator at the end of the hall.
I snapped out of the confused daze I was in a quickly caught up to him. "Are you sure sir? I-I am perfectly fine with taking them to Mr. Rivera myself. Th-that's why he sent me in the first place."
