But it was too bad that they wouldn't get to finish.

Eren and Zeke disappeared. There was only one thing they would be doing...destroying Marley.

The Scouts had to follow. Mea convinced them to take Gabi and Falco back. They didn't seem to think it was worth it to argue.

Once they boarded the ship, she explained that they might have the support of the Jaw and Armor with the kids out of ear shot. Jean would take Falco to the Grice residence, and Mea would take Gabi.

As soon as they got close, Mea planned out the safest path with the least resistance with Gabi's insight. Jean followed her lead.

As soon as they were close enough for their anchors to reach, they zipped into the skies. Mea landed in front of the Braun house without incident. Mea knelt in front of Gabi.

"Promise me you won't join this fight," Mea demanded.

"Zeke'll kill you! You tricked him!"

"And? Promise me!" Mea demanded, seizing her shoulders.

"Let go of her, you devil!" a woman screamed. Mea didn't even turn. "Reiner!"

"I promise, Mea," Gabi assured. "Aunt Karina, this is-"

"Mea?" Reiner asked.

"Yeagers," she responded shortly. She took her gear's triggers out of her jacket. "We end them."

Before he could ask for any clarity, Mea was gone.

"Why Mea?" Reiner asked Gabi.

"She was my guard. She-"

"Did they hurt you?"

"No," Gabi answered, stamping her foot.

"Stay," Reiner commanded.

"She already made me promise," Gabi grumbled as he ran.

When he got to the battle, it was just Pieck and the Yeagers. When he got closer, he realized Levi, Hange, Mikasa, Armin, Connie, Jean, and Mea were fighting alongside Pieck.

Reiner slit his hand and took Eren. The Marleyan army was preparing to engage. They started firing at the Beast Titan. Then Jaws joined the fight.

The brothers started to wear. It seemed that no one would die this battle. Until Zeke's final burst of adrenaline kicked in. He grabbed a wire, and Mea fell from the sky. She smacked against the ground from a few meters. He picked her up in his hand.

"Surrender or the bird will never fly again," he declared.

Porco didn't care. He attacked Zeke. Zeke squeezed her in his hand, the way Annie pretended to squeeze Reiner. Except this wasn't fake. Mea's blood fell to the ground. He dropped her.

Reiner attacked Zeke with renewed strength. Porco bit his nape while Pieck held Eren off. Porco took Zeke in his mouth. Some Marleyans shouted at him, and he rushed over to them. They had a cage. Porco dropped Zeke in.

Reiner and Pieck finished off Eren, putting him in a cell as well. Reiner pulled himself out of the titan flesh to see his family. Gabi's father was holding her back while she screamed. He looked back at Mea.

No. Gabi. He ran to her.

"He's okay!"

"Calm down Gabi!"

"What did they do to you?"

She just continued to fight against her father weakly, screaming. Tears ran down her face.
