Chapter 20• Save her

Rose PoV

"Rose!" A banging on the door dragged Draco and I from our sleep, "What!" I groaned out, not bothering to find out who the voice belonged to.

"Do you know where Luna is?" "She's probably at breakfast, she was always an early riser!" "She isn't, we've looked everywhere, did she go to bed before you last night?" "No, she stayed up to finish an essay," "Damnit! She's gone!" "What do you mean?" I began to shake Draco, who had covered his head with a pillow in a mild attempt at blocking out the noise.

"Her toothbrush was still dry and her pjs weren't on the floor like she always leaves them, I think she's been taken!" "Calm down," I got out of bed, in nothing but Draco's pyjama top. Opening the door, the two boys rushed in muttering possible places she could have been taken too.

"Listen, why don't we go to McGonogall and she can probably do a tracker spell to see where she is?" "Let's go!" So with a tug of the wrist from Theo and Harry dragging Draco from our bed we found ourselves running through the corridors - me in nothing but a shirt that reached mid thigh and Draco in his boxers.

"Students, this is hardly the correct attire," "Sorry Headmistress but we think Luna is missing," we managed to find McGonogall in the great hall, we received some rather peculiar looks from teachers and a handful of Hufflepuffs. "And what makes you think that Mr Potter?" "We haven't seen her since last night, and well she never slept in our room last night, we've searched everywhere but she's gone!" "Okay Harry, calm down, I'm sure we can find her,"

"That's not necessary," The voice of Ginny Weasley called out, "I know where she is," "Well where is she?" "She's currently safe with Ron, you may have her back if I get what I want," "Which is what Miss Weasley?" "Harry to marry me," "Ginny that is crazy, give Luna back right now!" "Ah ah ah Harry, you want precious little Luna, you know what you have to do!" With that she apparated away.

McGonogall ushered us all up to her office, transfiguring Draco some pants before talking. "Ginny Weasley is only allowed to enter some places due to her restrictions, I believe those being Hogwarts and the Burrow," "But Ron can enter anywhere," "Ginny wouldn't Trust Ron to keep Luna hidden, so your best bet is the burrow, I will signal the authorities, I believe you will wish to attend," "Yes Professor," "Okay, go get some food, who knows what we are about to deal with," heading back to the great hall, I was grateful for it to still be sparse, even though I was fully covered, the shirt was still short.

Eating a quick breakfast - a green apple - the last apple to be precise to Draco's annoyance. We headed back to the dorms for clothes. "I hope she's okay," I whispered to Draco once we were in our bedroom, "Theo and Harry can't loose her," "She's strong, she  can hold on a little bit longer," with s quick peck in the lips we headed back out, hands linked together to find Theo and Harry whispering on the couch.

"Everybody!" I called once McGonogall stepped into the room, Kingsley behind her. "The auroras have gone ahead to scope the perimeter, they have been ordered to not allow any one in the vicinity know they are there," nodding we began getting ready to apparate. "I love you," I heard Harry whisper to Theo, before apparating out to the Burrow.

"What the hell!" I heard Ron scream as he was grabbed by several auroras, yanking at them. Clearly one scrawny ginger git can defeat several bulky auroras... idiot. "Where is she?" Harry grabbed at his ex best friends face, "She's in the house," he clearly gave up trying to fight back as he lay slumped in the Auroras arms.

Storming through the burrow we searched high and low, coming up short Harry started smashing up what little furniture they had. "Harry stop!" Theo called, noticed a hinge on the floor. "Is that a trap door?" Draco questioned, before pulling back a rug to see another hinge and a handle. Tugging at the door, it opened with a loud groan of resistance. Walking down the stairs, cobwebs scattered everywhere, "Lumos," I whispered, allowing some light in. Our shadows stretched around the corner before we hear muffled gags.

Stepping around, we saw the rest of the Weasley clan chained to different bed posts, it appeared Ron and Ginny had built a somewhat dungeon, pulling out the gag in George's mouth he began to cough before I found some water on the desk, giving him a sip.

"Where's Luna?" "Ginny took her in there, but Harry, that's not just an ordinary room," feeling slightly disturbed and yet not knowing why, I swung the doors open, seeing a shrine to Harry and Hermione, clearly Ron and Ginny did this.

"You was supposed to be my best friend Luna yet you stole my soulmate from me!" A whack as a belt came down in flesh could be heard, "I didn't mean to! The sorting hat put me with him!" "But you love him!" "I do, I can't help that!" Ginny dropped the belt before using her fists, her quidditch training made her incredibly strong.

Draco held Harry back when Harry looked as if he was going to pounce, but Ginny still had her wand and it would only take a millisecond for her to kill Luna. Neville managed to cast a  'Wingardium Leviosa' and raise her wand without Ginny noticing. Releasing Harry he attacked!

Watching as he began to pummel Ginny's face before pinning her to the ground, Pansy and I unchaining Luna, we never saw the flash of green light coming.

A thud was heard, silence echoed through the cracks in our souls. A life was lost, but who shot the curse? And more importantly, who did it hit?
