It's been three days since I was shot and three days since I've found Alex Hunter. Liel's agency already arrested him and they took out his gang. Liel told Chief Lexington, the head of the agency, that I was the one who found him. He also told him the time it took me. When Liel came back, he said Cheif Lexington was going to talk to me soon.

Today is the day Cheif Lexington is going to talk to me. Liel told me to prepare myself for the worst. That's what has my nerves spiked to the max.

I am currently sitting in Liel's room with Max, James, and Alec while Liel is in the training room doing God knows what.

"Haha, suckers! I win yet again!"

"How are you so good at Uno, Cupcake? You've never played it before," Alec says and I shrug with a smile. I was about to reply when someone rings the doorbell.

"Welp, death's waiting for you. I'll give you a beautiful funeral," Max says as he collects the cards and I stand up. I glare at Max then I leave the room to meet the thing that will end this short game I played called life.

I make it to the front door and I take a deep breath. I swing open the door and I see a man in his late thirties standing in a black suit. His hands are stuffed in his pockets and he is wearing dark sunglasses.

"Hello, sir," I say politely. "Are you Chief Lexington?"

"Yes. I presume you are Siayla Wassim?" I nod with a smile and I step aside to let him in. Once he's fully in, I close the door and I motion for him to follow me into Mr. Wilkins's office like I was told to thirty minutes before now.

We make it into Mr. Wilkins's office and I sit down on the black couch next to the window while Chief Lexington sits in a chair in front of Mr. Wilkins's desk.

"Is John joining us," Chief Lexington asks and I shrug politely.

"I honestly have no idea. All he said wad to bring you here and he told me to stay and sit." Chief Lexington chuckles and I smile. "He makes me sound like a dog, don't you think?"

"That's John for you." I nod and I lean back, looking around the office. I notice a picture on the wall that I didn't see before and I get up and I walk over to it.

The picture is of two men smiling widely. They are both wearing leather jackets. The guy on the left is wearing a maroon shirt and the guy on the right is wearing a dark blue shirt. The guy on the left, I recognize as Mr. Wilkins. The guy on the right is my dad. I smile sadly at the picture.

"You miss your dad?"

"Yes, Sir. Everyday," I answer quietly and I hear shuffling behind me. I then feel a firm hand on my shoulder.

"Wassim was a very great man. He was the best agent the Agency has seen. You were all he would talk about after you were born. He was so happy to become a dad. I swear we had to [ut duct tape over his mouth on missions, he wouldn't shut up." Chief Lexington chuckles and so do I. "He always told me that you were going to grow up to be just like him. He said that you were going to grow up to be a smart and beautiful young woman."

I look down to the floor and I hear Chief Lexington sigh. He turns me around by the shoulders to face him but I don't look up. He then gently grabs me by the chin and he pulls my head up, making my eyes meet his.

"I'm starting to believe he was able to see into the future." I chuckle quietly, tears springing to my eyes. "From what everyone has told me, you are so much more. Your dad would be really proud."

I don't know what came over me but I wrap my arms around Chief Lexington's waist and I just cry into his chest. I feel him tense but he wraps his arms around me in a comforting hug.
