I walk out the school and made my way to my house. I walk in the crowd of other students before parting from them. While walking, it suddenly becomes windy and cold, yet it was like 90 degrees outside. I put my hands in my jacket pocket to try and warm up, but it gets colder.
"Did you miss me?"
A familiar voice called out of no where. I turn around looking for the source, but I only found myself alone. I started to walk faster.
"You threw me aside. You REPLACED me with him."
I walked faster. The voice sounded so close to me.
"I'm always there."
I ran. The house was just a few turns away.
"Always watching."
The house was a few feet away. I reached for the doorknob and opened enough so I could get in before slamming it closed. I leaned up against the door to try and steady my breathing.
"Y/N, don't slam the door! I just put your brother to sleep!" Mom said from upstairs. I slowly walked away from the door, watching the doorknob to see if it would move.
"Sweetie, are you okay? Why'd you slam the door so hard?" My female parental figure said while coming down the stairs.
"T-there was a voice, mom. It was chasing me, saying it was always watching or something! It was cold and windy and-"
"Okay, sweetie, calm down. I'm sure whatever you heard was just in your imagination." Mom put her arms around me and hugged me, rubbing my back in small circles.
"It wasn't, it was so close to me, it was real!"
Mom fell silent for a second and pulled away from the hug and looked me in the eyes. "Why don't you go get some rest, honey? You look tired."
I took mom's advice and nodded and went upstairs into my room. I closed my door slowly, still thinking about that voice.
"Did you miss me?"
"You threw me aside. You REPLACED me with him."
"I'm always there."
"Always watching."
"You can't get rid of me."
I turned around to see him. The same, green haired, black eyed person from the beginning of the school year. Anti.
"Did ya miss me, lass? I missed you."
I screamed, backing up to my room door.
"What the hell are you doing in my room? How are you even here? I thought you were expelled!"
"Well you thought wrong. You see, Y/N, I'm not a normal human being like you think I am."
His voice was strangely calm. I stayed in my position at the door, not wanting to move.
"What do you mean?"
Anti sighed before walking a little towards me. I tensed.
"I'm a demon, and so is Dark."
I stared back at him, dumbfounded.
"Sweetie, Deanna is here!" Mom shouted up the stairs. I could hear Deanna's footsteps become louder as she made her way to my room.
"No, no, no, why is she here now?" I mumbled under breath, panicking.
"What's wrong, don't want me to meet your friend?"
"That's exactly the reason. And it would seem a little awkward with someone like you-
Deanna opened the door, causing it to crash up against the wall.
"Hey sis, how ya been? I thought I would come over and-"
She stopped when she saw Anti. I looked at her, and back at him.
"-in my room. Look, it's not what it looks like." I said, trying to fill the empty silence.
"Oh, it's exactly what it looks like. This is the guy that you said got into a fight on the first day of school, right?"
"In the flesh. How are you doing, you fine lass?"
Anti reached his hand out to Deanna, and she gladly shook it.
"I'm fine, how about you?"
I stared at them, my jaw hanging low. They're talking like they were friends from 30 years ago and they are just now seeing each other again.
"Uh, Y/N, you okay?" Deanna asked, looking over at a very confused me.
"Oh, yeah, totally fine." I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Cool. Also another question. Why is he in your room in the first place?"
"You tell me."
"I just came to see how she was doing, that's all."
"Oh, same."
I had no words for what was happening in front of me.
I cleared my throat, "Well you two seem to be having fun, I'm going to go downstairs and find some bleach for my eyes, don't mind me." I said, grabbing the doorknob to open the door.
"No!"
Deanna tackled me to the floor, and she sat on me.
"No, no need for that. I'll go, it's almost dinner time anyway."
"Cool. Also thanks for breaking my back." I replied sarcastically.
"No problem." She said back, a wide smile on her face. She got up off of me and left. She's a handful, but I love her. Not like that, of course.
"She seems nice, why didn't you want me to meet her?"
Crap. I forgot he was here.
"Because reasons. Now can you get out of here?" I asked him, trying to maintain from throwing him out my window.
"What has he been doing to you?"
"Who, exactly?"
"Dark."
"Oh. He's been acting like a perv. Why?"
"Did he hurt you?"
"N-no."
"Good."
Anti's voice started to glitch, sending chills up my spine. I guess he was right about not being human.
"Listen to me, Y/N. I don't want anything bad to happen to you. I want- I want to protect you from him. He is one of the most powerful demons in this universe. You can't let him get to you. I know you may see me as the bad guy, but I can't...control myself at times. Please, if anything happens between you and him, tell me. I'll take care of it."
He sounded so desperate. His shining black eyes were filled with hurt. I want to know so much more about him, but maybe now isn't the time.
"Sure. I trust you."
His black eyes sparkled with happiness as he looked at me.
"...thank you, Y/N. I'll protect you if my life depends on it."
I smiled, and he smiled back.
"No problem. Now um can you do me a solid favor and get out of my house? Not to be rude or anything, but you kinda appeared without warning..." I trailed off. He immediately understood and disappeared into a black cloud of smoke.
(So I accidentally published this before it was done but now it actually is! It's a little longer than the last one, it might not make much sense, but hey, it was fun to write.)
