Diana and I waited for about 10-20 minutes when Sammy, Jane and Ari had finally stepped out of their class. Only Diana and I were in a class while they, coincidentally, all ended up in the same class. We always complained about the unfairness and decided that next year they would all be in the same class. There was one advantage that they had over them though, always being released early. Diana and I always bragged on and on about the time they spent outside while the others were only stuck in class.

"Finally some fresh air!" Jane said  stretching her hands above her head.
"I thought we were going to rot in there!" Sammy exclaimed laughing followed by our laughs as well.

Ari just stood there laughing with us, not commenting. After making a few more jokes and talking leisurely we headed to some benches outside, close to the school gate. Each of us sat down in one of the empty spaces.

"COMMENCING MEETING OF OUR DAILY 'A.W.P' GROUP!" I shouted striking a pose I had learnt from sailor moon. They all sighed. Was having such a cringy friend really worth it? I obviously knew just how embarrassing it was but it had managed to put a smile on their faces.

"Any new animes?" Jane asked her face shone with interest. She was the most devoted in our group to anime and never missed the chance to add more to her list.

She knew more about anime than all of us since she had been a longer anime watcher or should I say 'otaku' than the rest of us. We talked until it was time to walk home, about 3:30 PM. School gave out at 2:30 and so they had spent an entire hour talking; that didn't include the time when they're walking home.

"Don't forget your homework for English and Math!" I heard Sammy shout to us as she made her way in the opposite direction of us.

"Can't blame me if I forget it." Jane had a smug look on her face. Ari just continued to wave her hands telling her see you tomorrow.

Soon after Jane set off in a different direction with Ari. They lived close to each other and were a bit secretive at times. Diana and I waved at them and set off to our homes but Diana soon said her byes too as she headed in another direction and I made my way home alone. When I was walking with my friends there was always a new topic that kept me occupied now though, even the smallest of winds could attract my attention. Ii walked briskly wanting to get home as soon as possible. If I was with my friends maybe I'd forget I even had a home.

As soon as I stepped through the door I saw my mom in the kitchen feeding my little brother, Kai. He was rejecting the food until he saw me and quickly ate it off the spoon looking at me, eyes bright.

I rolled my eyes and ignored him. Suddenly his eyes glowed with anger. He grabbed the food from my mom who was standing next to him in his baby seat bent down. He attempted to feed himself but resulting in more food falling back into the plate than into his mouth. I just laughed at his struggles and headed to my room.

I plopped my bag down at the door and closed it behind me as I fell onto my bed carelessly not caring what I fell on. I felt a smile creep up onto my face as I remembered the fun topics I talked about with my friends and soon I fell asleep. Tomorrow was another day
