Aatrox gazed at the object in his hand. It was no longer glowing, but he can still feel the tremendous power it contained.
Upon closer examination, the object resembles a statue. It was barely three inches tall, and the most prominent feature are the two emerald eyes, which have an alarmingly green hue. The figure held a staff in its left hand, and a sword in the other. Both weapons are intricately decorated with its respective jewels: Sapphire for the staff, and ruby for the sword.
Suddenly, a beam of light projected from the statue, and a shimmering figure rose. The figure immersed itself within the light, and with a tender tone, it spoke:
'Darkness has come. The Guardians of the Gate had been defeated by the Dark Phantom and the Gate of Oblivion is now open. You must close the Gate by defeating the Dark Phantom before he destroys The Source of Life, where life is thought to originate from. The world is counting on you!'
Aatrox simply shrugged:
'I don't see why destroying that source is a bad thing, I am not putting my own life in danger just to achieve some heroic deeds.'
The figure remained silent for a while, and then spoke:
'What if we make a deal? If I grant you power, would you be willing to help in eradicating darkness from this land?'
Aatrox's lip curved upwards in what seemed like a gruesome smile.
'Gladly.' He spoke, and the transformation began.
