Pendrik's Plain, a vast stretch of land located in Eastern Anotia, close to its border with Ferra, is a haven for various magical creatures alike. The place is abundant in terms of resources, such as crystal mines and gold. Situated at the southern part of the Plain is the Murky Woods, where hostile monsters are rumoured to reside. A lonely eagle glided across the sky, looking for prey. The place seemed deserted, for now...
Deep within the woods, a single figure made its long and difficult journey through the trees, hacking and slashing at obstructing undergrowth with its sword, which glinted red under the occasional rays of sunshine.
It was Aatrox.
Upon receiving his quest from the mysterious voice to deliver a message to the Guardian of the Gates, Aatrox immediately decided to head to the nearest training ground he can find in order to solidify his new powers, and that's why he's deep within Murky Wood now.
Ordinary magical creatures posed no threat to Aatrox as he struggled through the jungle-like woods - A single slash of his sword would pretty much do the job. Occasionally, when that fails, all Aatrox needs to do is to cast a fireball at his opponent, and claim victory of the combat.
But he was bored beyond belief.
Ahead of him, lies miles and miles of woodland, and Aatrox was tired of searching for a worthy opponent. He spread his wing wide and took off, gliding above the treeline, keeping an eye out for any movement below.
The hours droned away as Aatrox made his way across the woods, searching for a battle. Suddenly, he spotted a huge clearing below him - In the middle of the clearing, there was a pond, the water glittering briliantly under the lights of the Sun.
Fatigued from hours of continuous flight, Aatrox decided to rest by the pond. He landed on the edge of the pond, and decided to replenish his magic power, entering a state of meditation.
But little did he know, something deadly was suppressed underneath that very pond...
